5th FAWM?!?!?!?!?!? Am I old yet?
Making Americana in the Northland. Mostly acoustic one take tracks, with some more elaborate ditties once in a while. Sadly with two full time bands and nursing school this year might be a little slim...
I play in a few groups around the Twin Cities area, the main two are The Common Ground Company, an Americana/bluegrass 5 piece, and Mae Simpson, an RnB/Soul 8 piece.
A personal goal I attempted last year was to perform one show a week. I blew that number outta the water with 115 paid shows played in 2018, so this year I'm shooting for 100+ again!
Always open to collaborate, mainly on guitar, mandolin, and vocals. Or a bunch of other random instruments so don't be afraid to ask! Also will accept any and all compliments/criticism, don't be afraid of hurting my feelings!

So in response to your question: Being a bit of a technophobe, my system is pretty archaic. I record my songs on a little zoom H2 Handy Recorder I got about 10 years ago. I put my son's old baby sock over it to cut any extraneous breath/bow noise (just like the pros!). I use GarageBand to mix the layered cello parts. Not super sure of what I'm doing really, but I'm interested in learning whatever I can! Thanks for your nice comments. Peace <3
Hey there! Had a great time with you and The Common Ground Company last week too. Excited to hear what you write - Happy FAWM!
