Artist Bio

In addition to starting the co-founding the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), in high school, I was the drummer for an all-female band called the Wildcats. I played drums with members of the Grateful Dead, and during the second night of the Spring 2009 Dead tour, I sat in on drums during the closing song "Sugar Magnolia". In 2000, I appeared on stage at the Equality Rocks concert at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium to play to a crowd of 45,000 prior to the Millennium March on Washington. Later that year, I played with Willie Nelson during his set at Farm Aid. I played with Herbie Hancock at the 25th Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition in 2012.
