Influences: John Prine, Jason Isbell, Gillian Welch, Peter Mulvey, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, They Might Be Giants, and so forth.
I run a little group called "The Fearless Songwriter" (It's here: https://fearless.fearlesssongwriter.com/ )
Six times a year we write seven songs in seven days.
I also offer weekly prompts and musical ideas on my blog (or by email): https://Timmyr.com
@BethDeSombre has taken on the mantle of hosting a Challenge in February for Fawmers the last few years and will be doing it again this year.
I'm lying low in 2021, but will likely check in every now and then to see what others are up too : )
No songs by this fawmer (yet).
Hiya Timmy, I'll be checking in on the Fearless prompts next week.
Howdy, sir! Hope you are well
Will do. I've got all the PDFs open and I'm going to download and compile into 1 PDF so I can get an overview.
Looking over a few more of your guides. Subscribed to your email list even. 😀
Sweet stuff with the BEAD Guides Chord Flow. Love how you made a meaningful and applicable mnemonic rather than something random to remember the circle of fifths. Read over your dim vs dom7 sheet. Great stuff. Making songwriting/guitar/basic theory clear is a passion of mine too in education so I’m definitely interested in reading more of what you’re working on!
Hey Timmy! Just 1 week till FAWM!
With all the turmoil since last FAWM, & especially since November, it's hard to feel quite as amped up about it.
"Unnecessary creation" just feels a little less necessary than usual.
But...the artists (music & video creators, especially) are arguably the most influential modern-day philosophers, & every minute/hour/day/week/month/year we spend honing our craft is a minute/hour/day/week/month/year invested in contribution to culture, no matter how small our circle of influence.
Hope you have a great Feb./FAWM, no matter how you spend it.
Oh, hey, hi. I had completely forgotten you Fawmed as well. Good to see you around.
