Ahh thanks so much for your lovely comment fest <3

  • @pumpkinhead  Mar 5

Next year we'll collaborate for sure. 😀
    Peace sister <3

  • @adforperu  Mar 1

You've probably already guessed from my comment haul that I'm a big fan. Finding you 1st March was plain SILLY. I hope you're around next year, and I even more hope you collaborate with @susyblue !

  • @beautyspot Feb 28

Thanks for your wonderful comment. For a long time I have used playing music as a stress reliever. When I'm playing everyday issues dissolve and its just the music. For the last year or so, I have been using it like a journal and ay times it is strong effective therapy. Glad you hear you have embraced the FAWM experience. Can't wait to get down to listening to everyone else now

  • @susyblue  Feb 28

Could you pls re-send it to my email susyhull@gmail.com? I don't even know my soundcloud login anymore! x

  • @susyblue  Feb 28

Thank-you! I'll let you know if I can steal away for an hour or two tomorrow (my Mum just said she wants to read her book lol) but otherwise post fawm collabs would keep me motivated to actually do songwriting past Feb! x

  • @pumpkinhead  Feb 28

    Hi there!
Thanks for all the joy you brought me this year. You and Piney are my two favourites this year for sure and I've enjoyed your music immensly.
I can't wait till next year but will follow your stuff on Soundcloud meanwhile.
    Peace

  • @susyblue  Feb 28

Oh booo my parents just arrived from interstate to visit for the next four days, I’d feel bad if I blew them off 😞 I’m happy to just collab anyway post FAWM, so if you don’t use that idea let me known I’ll have a play next week! Otherwise let’s book it in for next year! X

  • @mkd  Feb 27

Oh how funny! The same age as mine! My eldest will be 6 in April, the younger will turn 3 in September.

  • @mkd  Feb 27

A mother’s time is precious that’s for sure! Last year was my first fawm, and I did manage the 14 then. Similar to you, I’m lucky to write even one for the rest of the year so it really is a wonderful month for getting that boost! I don’t mind if I don’t get to 14 this year, as I’m writing to such a particular remit, it’s all a success. But if there’s a chance I can, I know I’ll like that feeling too! Last year’s album can be heard here: https://soundcloud.com/user-277261620... That’s so kind of you to want to hear it! My two kids were almost 5 and just 1.5yrs old then. Time is flying 😣

  • @mkd  Feb 27

Ooh it would be great to a collab in the future! I shall try and have a good listen to your songs in March - am totally engulfed with trying to get as close as I can to the magic “14” before the end of Feb (though I’m now doing tea and kids’ bedtimes for the next hour or so, so only an evening left then really as tomorrow is consumed with work).

  • @mkd  Feb 27

Hey @tangle ! Thank you so much for listening to a load of my songs! Yes, I am familiar with music thanatology, and also music therapy. I work as a musician in healthcare over here in the uk, and have been training this year to develop my practice into working with music in end of life care. (I came over to Boston MA for training on music in hospice and was particularly taken with the legacy work). I feel my practice will draw on many areas, though I shan’t profess to being anything I’m not of course!

  • @zecoop  Feb 27

Haha, no worries! FAWM is crazy busy and this was your first one... I hope you had a lot of fun and met some people. I love this place. I definitely would love to collaborate in the future, so please check in! 😀

  • @zecoop  Feb 22

Welcome to FAWM! I'm really glad I saw your name and came to listen. You write wonderful music and songs, and I'm really looking forward to hearing the rest! Your style really resonates with me - we have a lot of the same musical influences and loves. Have fun and I'll definitely be back to listen some more. I know you are probably busy but if you would ever like to collaborate, let me know. I write mostly the musical side of things and am so over the place in my styles. I collaborate with a lot of people who add lyrics/vocals and additional Instruments. Just throwing it out there since I loved everything I heard. 😀

  • @susyblue  Feb 17

My pleasure, love your work! If you have any ideas floating around that would work in a collab pls let me know!

  • @kendrakinsey Feb 16

    That was for eye 👁

  • @kendrakinsey Feb 16

Wow!! This is so fun and circusy! I love the lyrics and i love your lil babes. Bright and shiny and fun 🤩💛🧡

  • @laytay Feb 14

Oh wow, thanks Linky! RE Whisker. That’s so nice to hear, esp from someone who’s musicianship I admire so much! More soon! Xoxoxo Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • @laytay Feb 10

hi LInky Thank you for your messages!!! I got slammed last week but am gonna catch up tonite. I'll post Skin a Cat lyrics as soon as that song is fully birthed. bout to check out mend...xo

  • @zebraphone  Feb 6

Thank you tangle!! I’m so happy we have a mutual appreciation for each other’s art. Looking forward to more!

  • @auditasum Feb 6

OR you could add some ambient sounds to "Time is Fake" and I could add... something... to the song about grief and time you were working on.

  • @auditasum Feb 6

I'd maybe be up for a collab. I have about a 60-40 track record for completing them because my anxiety makes me avoidant sometimes, but sure, let's try it! Do you have any ideas? I'd definitely want to make use of your skill with samples, because I don't have that. Not sure what I would contribute besides more instruments since you already have solid vocals/harmonies, but I could record some banjolele or accordion for a song. Or I could write some lyrics and you could run with them.

  • @timfatchen  Feb 6

Listening to Treehouse, it occurs to me that you and @thedustcollector would make an amazing duo, if she appears this year.

  • @susyblue  Feb 5

Can’t believe you sampled every single match, you really work for your art, love it! It’s great, all your percussion had such an organic feel, wish I had the patience to record it all

  • @apertome  Feb 5

Thanks for noticing my friend's excellent name ... I had to do it!

  • @unpronounceable Feb 4

Eeee! Welcome! I'm in school for expressive arts therapy! 😀

  • @auditasum Feb 4

I highly recommend Laura Veirs's Year of Meteors. That's what reminded me most of your melodies/lyric style. But yeah, don't be afraid to "FAWM it". Throw some stuff at the wall and see what sticks! 😀

  • @auditasum Feb 4

I must admit that the percussion on "Open the Door" was not a capella... But thanks for your comment!

  • @goldelion  Feb 4

Also, Happy First FAWM! I'm a FAWMling, too!! 😀

  • @apertome  Feb 3

Happy first fawm! Neat that you are a music therapist, I am not but I am influenced by some of that kind of music. Good luck!

  • @oddbod  Feb 3

Hi, thanks for your comments. Yes it's fine commenting back either on the soundboard or song feedback...no strict rules or anything about that. Enjoy your first Fawm

  • @kendrakinsey Jan 22

    heck yes!
