Itโ€™s been brought to my attention that the @mentions in my song posts donโ€™t actually do anything to let that person know Iโ€™ve said anything to them. So, yes, here we are, towards the end of March, but for my own vanity and sanity, Iโ€™m responding to a now 6-week old comment you kindly left for my track Waiting Here (
"Mission accomplished! I hadn't necessarily felt that particular influence, but I have been in the midst of my 10-yearly dive back into the Beatles catalogue, so something must have rubbed off."

Thanks for listening to Smooth It Out, @susancantey ! Here is another to check out, this one about snow shoveling, by @oaksnprairie,

  • @nahlej381  Feb 25

Thanks for listening to calm down. The drums were presonus Impact drums played through an akai mpk mini with some reductive eq and compression. I like the old school samples, theyโ€™re a lot of fun to tinker with!

  • @nadine Feb 25

    Thanks for your nice comment!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 25

Thanks and didn't he do great with my lyrics?

  • @sciren  Feb 25

Thank you so much for you comment on "just a moment". For the drums, I use Garageband to write, and it has a really customizable drum machine built into it that I've been playing around with a lot this year. I'm glad it's sounding decent!

  • @rustyp Feb 25

    Hi Susan,
thank you so much for stopping by and listening to my songs! ๐Ÿ˜€

Those big drums came from a Kontakt sample library I have called something like "stomps claps snaps and slaps" ๐Ÿ˜€
those sounds are the stomps of maybe 20 people in some sort of church or hall. ๐Ÿ˜€ I also added reverb and a bunch of low eq frequencies at 50 and 100 hz. ๐Ÿ˜€
    TMI? ๐Ÿ˜€

If you want a link to where to get it let me know and I'll look for it. ๐Ÿ˜€ It might have been free, or really cheap. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks for your comments on 'I Miss My Dog'. I'm very surprised of what sometimes comes out when I sit down to write. With FAWM, I give myself the opportunity to delve into ideas I might have otherwise skipped. Although I would think about Nellie on a regular basis, I never thought of writing it down... until now. Again, thanks!

  • @porrectus  Feb 24

Thanks for your kind words on memories change. I appreciate it

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 24

    And a fellow CELT!!

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 24

Would you do some vocals for me Susan if I can supply you with the music? You have a very interesting voice.

    Now or after FAWM

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 24

Well not really 49. Some of these are collaboration and songs I added arrangements to. Quite a few though, maybe it's the lockdown?

I have always worked quickly and my production workflow tends to be very efficient.

After the event I will filter out for quality but some of the collabs on here have been absolutely great. A rich pool of talented people.

I will have a listen to your stuff and offer any feedback I can.

  • @jeff9  Feb 20

    Hi Susan
Thanks for listening to my twisted song. Glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun doing it...cause when you are crazy you can get away with saying anything, right? ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 4

Thank you very much for your lovely comment

  • @nerdjealous  Feb 3

That's a good idea!! (regarding samples) - cuts out the complicated process of getting recordings right. I may consider that for the future myself ๐Ÿค  allthabest!

  • @johnnycashpoint Feb 2

Thanks for the heads up, Susan - it should play now, have tested it in Chrome and Edge anyway! Hope you're well j$
