Artist Bio

Influences:   whatever plants itself in the depths of my soul

t e n y e a r s

.. it’s either a mess or magical or somewhere in between. the magic is usually you

the backdrop on me:
I'm not a musician, and I don't sing. I'm an artist of paint and words...probably inspired by you. I tend to reach states of euphoria when exploring forests and chasing sunsets.

I've been absolutely humbled and amazed at what the musicians here on fawm have come up with when breathing life into my lyrics. I've somehow stumbled into the graces of some talented musicians since starting fawm, that have made amazing demos out of the abstract stories in my head. It has encouraged me to keep pushing the limits in my writing and in my creativity pursuits. Thank you for that know who you are.

USE OF MY LYRICS: if any of my lyrics resonate with you and you want to put them to music...please let me know - and come say hi. : ) If a demo is made, go ahead and post it and link me as the collab. If a demo has already been done by another musician, don't let that hold you back from doing your own.

As for making them available to the general public in any form..that's discussed on an individual it stays here on FAWM unless otherwise discussed. : )

Also.. I'm no writing expert by any means.. but I get sad if my work is heavily rearranged or changed, especially the meaning. I understand that in order to fit the technicalities of music.. sometimes changing is what's if something isn't working.. let me know - lets work it together.

I ended up making the song private again, email me if you'd like me to send you an mp3 - Corinne dot Lucy at gmail dot com. πŸ˜€

  • @corinnelucy  Mar 25

Hey Sue. Just trying to make my online presence a little less present. I've made that song accessible, let me know when you've got it. 😊

  • @majordanby  Mar 2

You are most welcome. This years FAWM has definitely been a weird one. I missed the middle section due to health, leaving Dan to produce songs alone. We have both been posing comments, Dan on your words and me on the songs. We also have a lot of catching up to do in terms of listening / reading. Your collaborations this year have been so magical you must be so happy. Soul Departure and Aeronuatics Of Love are absolutely beautiful. More comments to follow. Happy FAWM now it’s over we can all relax.

*oh and those two songs would definitely be on my 2019 best of.

  • @johncrossman  Mar 1

Neat. I can plug in the link on this one if you unlock because of that weird locking collab quirk. Or I'll post, I think that's what you're saying. No problem!

  • @sueawesome  Mar 1

note: don't fawm when insomnia'ing... least you write notes on your own soundboard

  • @johncrossman  Mar 1

All references are intentional, specifically TLC and Garbage. I consider them little Easter eggs in the songs.

  • @johncrossman  Mar 1

Here's a link, submitted for your approval:
    (added to the thing)
The recording is imperfect, but perhaps that's ok.

  • @hornesgiftshop  Feb 28

Thanks for fixing the access problem. Happy March to you.

  • @oldlostjohn  Feb 28

Thanks for your sweet comments, Sue. And wow ... that's an impressive amount of lyrics from you. My FAWM this year has been compromised by other things getting in the way and I have focussed on writing the few songs I've had time for, bur I'll have a closer look at your stuff over the next couple of weeks.

  • @hornesgiftshop  Feb 28

Hi Sue - I'm not entirely sure. Maybe go into the edit function adn click "downloadable"? I went onto the page as if I wasn't signed into FAWM and none of your songs are accessible except the vocal version of "Aeronautics of love".

  • @hornesgiftshop  Feb 28

Hi Sue. Congratulations on a productive and poetic FAWM. Is there any chance you could unlock the recording of Heliacal Rising please? Now that I've finished (yes I have finished - Stop Jon, just stop!) I'm going to put up a link to my FAWM page on Facebook/Twitter etc.. All the best, and hope to see your stuff next year.

  • @pumpkinhead  Feb 28

You are such a beautiful soul Sue. Thanks for FAWM 2019 and have a great year... 11 months.

  • @lanasolyluna Feb 25

    Love your stuff. Watchlisted!! πŸ˜πŸ’•

  • @pumpkinhead  Feb 24

No kidding Sue. I'm honoured you took the time for your experiment.
    Peace sister.

  • @johncrossman  Feb 24

Music is percolating in a retroactive, 50/90 kind of way. It's it the right music? One hopes that time will tell. Or, even better, that the music will tell me directly, itself.

  • @zecoop  Feb 23

    Yellow is good! πŸ˜‰
I wish I was a singer and then I definitely would try to do something with your wonderful lyrics. I mean I wish I liked singing, lol... I can sing and do somethings but really love making the music part a whole lot more. Thanks for listening. πŸ˜€

  • @judypie  Feb 23

Oh sue, don’t say such beautiful words when I’m already feeling so emotional! You’re pushing me over the edge here! Hehe, thank you for your kind words and your hopefully future listens πŸ˜€ I will bear in mind what you said about shadows ❀️

  • @metalfoot  Feb 23

You really are awesome. I mean it. Wow. Wish I had the gift for writing images that you do.

  • @adforperu  Feb 21

Haha, ALL the lines are meant to be bad things! πŸ˜‚

  • @johncrossman  Feb 21

Thanks for your tremendous comments. There's a musical hill this Feb ....or maybe it's a sea. Gonna keep swimming...

I should clarify that last song that they're totally my lyrics. I have no real recollection of Tom's song. πŸ˜€

  • @adforperu  Feb 20

Got your email but it's much easier to type at my laptop (otherwise I need to on phone) so I'll respond tonight... but it's all good! πŸ˜€

  • @quork  Feb 19

Hey Sue, thanks for listening to and commenting on my songs. Much appreciated.

  • @adforperu  Feb 19

    You've got email πŸ™Œ

  • @johncrossman  Feb 18

Your advice is timely and accurate. Darn it. Guess it's time to get going again. 🎸

  • @zecoop  Feb 17

Thank you so much for all the wonderful listens and comments. Yes, I actually run the whole 4-track challenge! I came up with that crazy idea about 6 years ago, lol. Still going strong - We should have 20 tapes this year, many of which crossed the Atlantic! πŸ˜€

  • @corinnelucy  Feb 17

Thank you so much for everything you've said about my songs, Sue. Means the world. Lorelei is a rock in a river in Germany - the myth is that mermaids would sit on the cliffs above, combing their hair and looking tempting, and sailors would be distracted by their beauty and crash their boats into that rock.

Having said that though, I just googled it and the cliff is actually what is called Lorelei... the rocks in the water are just some dangerous rocks. So I guess that line doesn't work too well. 😝

  • @judypie  Feb 17

Hehehe I’d just got home from a late night collab with @degausser Sue! But then saw Ad uploaded a song! So I had to play it through the car speakers of course! πŸ˜ƒIt was collldddd out there though!

  • @adforperu  Feb 17

I love that an acceptable excuse for eating a sandwich in a car at 2.30am is "it's summer" πŸ˜‚ ooooo I have email!

  • @petemurphy  Feb 2019

Awesome sueawesome!!! Thank you for the ace comments. Yes, I believe I did record the answering lines separately on my Coventry song. It's something I do occasionally, when I have the words I want, but there just isn't enough of a gap for me to take a breath. Although sometimes I just do it because I like the effect. I think it may have been a bit of both in this case. Hope you're well <3

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 2019

Sue...there's no competing with you. Thank you for recommending the collaborations between @judypie and I and for commenting. I'm so behind on reciprocating it's become a sin. Please throw a pie at my face.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 2019

I need to delve into your lyrics now that I have a bit more time and breathing space. Maybe we can do one this year!

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 2019

I seriously have to play catch up here. Just caught up with work and collabs but looking forward to reading more of your lyrics soon.

  • @adforperu  Feb 2019

Hey, don't worry! Get yourself better, absolutely no rush or obligation to do anything, we're still good, yo (sorry, dunno why I'm talking like that)

  • @hornesgiftshop  Feb 2019

No problem - get well soon

  • @hornesgiftshop  Feb 2019

Hi Sue A. I hope you like this strummy version of Heliacal Rising. If you don't, let me know and it'll be history.

  • @zecoop  Feb 2019

p.s. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of your lyrics. REALLY looking forward to it. πŸ˜€

  • @zecoop  Feb 2019

I was *this* close to calling it that, but decided to cut the "thousand" part. How funny is that!! πŸ˜€

  • @quork  Feb 2019

You don’t know how relieved that makes me! I was worried you’d think I took liberties and you’d hate it. It was such a pleasure to put your lyrics to music.

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 2019

You're on a roll with cool band names. Death Growl Heroin πŸ˜€

  • @gloverm  Feb 2019

Thanks for listening to all of my songs so far in FAWM! You are far too kind! πŸ˜€

  • @feeslip58  Feb 2019

Thank you Sue for taking the time to listen to my song, and for the nice comments.

  • @pumpkinhead  Feb 2019

Don't worry about the lyrics Sue, this year is all love songs and that one was about my best friend. That said I am a cat you know so cats speaking on the phone is just everyday business for me.

  • @corinnelucy  Feb 2019

    To work WITH 'em...

  • @corinnelucy  Feb 2019

Ah sue, I'm so glad you were happy with what I did with your lyrics. You have such a beautiful poetic way & it's an honour to work work 'em. X

  • @bradbrubaker  Feb 2019

Thanks for your thoughts on "Suicide City." Unfortunately, I lost the original demo when my laptop was stolen. I had back-ups of most of my stuff, but that was one of the things I lost. 😞

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 2019

I deny that you don't believe it.

  • @max  Feb 2019

Right then. Thanks. Allow me some time cuz I need to practise a lot in order to get this recorded in one take. Hope it all works out well. Bit nervous I am....

  • @oldlostjohn  Feb 2019

Hi Sue, wish you a happy FAWM. I'm a little busy getting a few things out of the way but I'll join the party in a couple of days.

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 2019

    I deny it :-p

  • @deonnek  Feb 2019

Your work is beautiful and I look forward to seeing/reading more! Cheers to a productive FAWM @sueawesome.

  • @johnstaples  Jan 2019

    Hiya Sue! Happy FAWM 2019!

  • @max  Jan 2019

    Hi there, Light Chaser.
    For kicks ... yay!
I would feel honored by any ink drawing or painting by @sueawesomeart That would be .....well... you know .... awesome! πŸ˜€ Have fun this FAWM. Here's hoping there will be some lyrics from you this year where I feel the urge to work with... you know.... for kicks πŸ˜‰

  • @corinnelucy  Jan 2019

Happy FAWM, Sue. The dotted Prussian skyway will get finished.

  • @nuj4x Jan 2019

  • @judypie  Jan 2019

Ah work/schmirk! I can forget about it as soon as I leave the office, so excited to start 😁

  • @judypie  Jan 2019

    HI HI HI πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

  • @metalfoot  Jan 2019

Hello Sue! Here's to another year of FAWM and some lovely lyrics on your part!

  • @adforperu  Jan 2019

Ahaha, ah yes, I was wondering where our six-figure budget music video was πŸ˜‰ But no, that's cool! Glad you're around. And you're flat out WRONG I'm afraid. How about if you write a poem that I feel resonates, I have a go at laying a musical backdrop that you read over? Pleeeeeease

  • @max  Jan 2019

  • @johncrossman  Jan 2019

    Coming soon... some awe?

  • @iwilleatyou Jan 2019

I bet you can't beat your record from last year's FAWM. What was it? 40 entries???

  • @zecoop  Jan 2019

Awesome Sue... I'm glad I don't need to wait until FAWM to run into you on the internet, but am always glad to see you here too!

  • @andygetch  Jan 2019

Hello, reve fluer is beautiful πŸ˜€

  • @adforperu  Jan 2019

Suuuuuue, hope you're around this year. I want to hear some spoken word stuff πŸ˜€
