With an accordion, musical bones, and a stomping board, Mary Beth Carty is a rare gem. Her vibrant, rootsy album of original and traditional numbers, Les biens-nommés, was nominated for a 2018 ECMA and is described by The East magazine as “one of the most fun and exciting albums we’ve heard this year.” She’s performed in Continental Europe, Central Africa, and throughout Canada and was nominated Traditional Singer of the year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for her duo album Voici… Bette & Wallet.

    I did 82 songs, actually, but they weren't all good. I don't do a lot of arranging and layering of instruments so it makes the write-record process much quicker.
