Artist Bio

Influences:   More musical influences than I have hairs on my head, which = too many to count, let alone name.

My loves? God, people and anything that keeps me creating. My flava? what I'd call eclectic soul. What drives me? Making people smile, letting them know the power and love that we're made of, and how loved we are. Why am I here? Because a good stretchin' is good for the health. Let's stretch and play.

My first year here and I will definitely be back. I also intend to do the 50/09 challenge.

I had a very productive month with collaboration such as this fuelling a creative burst.

Midnight Train is actually very commercial and has quite a catchy chorus. It would also lend itself to a more traditional arrangement also.

I have enabled download on SoundCloud if you want a copy.

You are most welcome. I really liked your lyrics; there was an authenticity to them.

As to software, the majority of it comes from Spitfire Audio. In this case their strings brass and woodwinds.

The Timpani and toys from their BBC Symphony Orchestra.

The singing is unfortunately actually me.

I noticed that no one had taken up one of your lyrics which seemed a shame to me as they were very good. I was going to do a final orchestral song today before the deadline so I redirected that to work with your fine words.

    I hope you like it.

    Hey Squeak!
Glad you enjoyed Season of Sorrow and my litany of action verbs when dealing with depression. As far as production, I had fun finding some percussion loops and keyboard chord progressions and then laid down synth bass and more keyboard to those before laying down the vocals. Harmonies are always challenging, staying on pitch especially when they're that tight. So that's how I spent the good part of a day doing.

Squeek...you're here!!!! Yay. So glad you popped by and took a listen to Invocation. I was using a bowl back very old mandolin from the eary 1900's. Such a cool instrument. I can't play it at all but it makes it's own magic just by strumming it. Gonna go catch up on you now!
