Influences: Hasil Adkins, R L Burnside, Left Lane Cruiser, The Cramps, The Wildhearts, Grinderman, The Replacements, Hound Dog Taylor, Son Of Dave, Johnny Cash, Hank 3, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Guitar Wolf, The Immortal Lee County Killers, Junior Kimbrough, Robert Belfour, The Kills early stuff,
Coming back for my second FAWM to build on the success of last year. I hit the target, and about half a dozen of those songs still stand up now, to my ears anyway.
Bootstrap Paradox was the best of the bunch, arriving fully formed to the extent that I put the demo out as a single, something you can get away with when you're garage rock!
This year I want to explore some more genres; country, soul, metal, straight up classic rock, though I expect it'll all come out sounding the same as my other stuff 🤣.
I also want to do way more collaborations, so hit me up!

Fanks for your support again this year Spike. You and Fuzzy kept me going. It's always easier when you know youve got someone who likes what you do and will listen.
Enjoyed your stuff greatly this year, mate. Will see you in 2020.
Thanks for the comment on "Crawl", it's fun to bang on the REsonator & wail on the Blues Harp!
Nice influences, by the way. Great stuff! I saw Hasil Adkins many years ago, hell of a show, even if he could barely remember a song. Very fun.
And taping over ELO seems rather perfect.
Yeah, the first times he appeared were in Gotchas (played by Noel) where he was meant to be an impossibly unlikely kids TV character; the entire point was that he was a ridiculous fictional being. It kind of feels like everyone was in on the joke other than the people who thought he was low brow/lowest common denominator (okay so we didn’t really have to buy all that stuff or go to his theme parks... but like I say in my song, Noel never claimed it was art)
Thanks mate, for recommending me in that weird and wacky thread.
Very nice of you.
Well, that's a relief! I just really loved the idea that someone had written a song about Richard Dadd- a very FAWN type thing to do so I couldn't resist. 😀
Thanks for the comment! I was inspired too and would like to take a more serious approach. The trouble is that that song was already at the limit of my playing skills 😝
Thanks for the comment on "Satan Knows No Safeword"! I haven't heard that band, but now I guess I'll have to check it out : )
Thanks for the kind words on "If the Hat Fits"! It's funny...I usually gravitate towards the dreamier, more ambient side, but we all have aggression that needs to come out every now and again, especially with the state of things these days! Happy FAWMing!
Thanks a lot for listening and commenting on my song ‘lets go on a road trip yeah! ‘ . Appreciate it !
Thanks for your comments on “If I Could Turn Back Time” - is there any other way to rock but stream of consciousness? Lol! I love it when compared to somebody - such a learning experience cuz I didn’t know who Killing Joke was and looked him up.
Hi! Most of the time I use my "Junk guitar" as seen left on this image https://www.instagram.com/p/BqnqyuBBh8Z/
It is just a regular CD tower with springs and contact mics, but on these I also used this junk sculpture I found from art school trash, it seems like someone did it as welding practice and it has many different metal parts for different sounds. Then I also use out of tune, swollen and almost broken Kantele I found from the flee market, a broken guitar, rusty metal plates, anything that makes a sound I like. I build and find stuff and try to figure out ways to get sounds out of them. Mallets usually work the best with metal.
That's really kind of you, thank you. 😀
Thanks for the kind comment! Maybe someday I will actully do a song that won't have an inch of metal in it, but that day is not today (some 90s opeth inspired stuff coming online just now)
Cracking work mate, I thought this batch of lyrics were on the right side of crazy and loved the intensity you gave it!
Thanks for the listen/comment on “I Want To.” So fun!
Thanks for the message. Have felt a bit warn out after last year's successful endeavour and keen to promote the new album of songs from FAWM2018, but who knows, I may yet feel inspired... 😀
If you end up doing an incantation song, let me know! I'd love to hear it.
This is a special time. The Egyptian Exhibit is visiting Miskatonic University! When you stop by the campus streets, you can't help but spend hours viewing the strange heiroglyphics on the artifacts in the exhibit. You get the strangest feeling that if you would head over to the Black Cave *right now* ...
On your way, you hear about the party in the Witch House. At least, you think it must be a party. That would explain the pulsing, multicolored shafts of light, the odd, unworldly tones, and the - writhing bodies?
You catch confused glimpses of a terrible, wrongly-angled mouth, multi-jointed arms, and protruding eyes as big as a man's head.
Somebody came to the party dressed as - a Gug?
Thanks for stopping by and listening to my track. Funny you should say about using samples, I have an idea for another track that might just do that 😁
Thank you kindly! Happy new FAWM!
Hi there, I'll be very disappointed if I don't use the resonator at some point this FAWM.
Have a good one. Cheers
Hound Dog Taylor? R.L. Burnside? Yeah, I'll be stopping by.
Tru dat! Reprazentin' tha ME postcode, yo!
You have a great FAWM as well!
Got your note! I'll be back! Looking forward to hearing your stuff!!!
Wotcha mate! Good to see you back here.
