Hi!

Happy 5th FAWMiversary to me! I'm originally from Detroit, but I've been in Kalamazoo, Michigan for over 20 years. Although we are currently on hiatus, I play guitar in the band Treading Bleu -- and all of my bandmates are FAWMers as well (@kovbleu, @zecoop, and @guatecoop). @kovbleu and I are also a duo called Static of a Stranger, and I'll certainly be writing with an ear toward things that we can use for that project!

Much like last year, my goal is to make this a low-stress FAWM. I had some success last year, but man, insecurity is a BEAST!

In other words, let the fun begin!! 😀

Thanks for the kind words and checking out my song 😀 I'm hoping to add music to that one soon. I'm super slow at that, haha!

  • @angelinapowersuit Feb 20

THANK you for your feedback on "Living with the Enemy," I followed your advice about panning guitar left and right and it seemed to do the trick! (did not have time to double up though). I'm finishing up a week in Austria but hopefully will catch up a bit when I get home.

  • @downburst  Feb 11

I fixed my clicks! (I ficksed my clix?)

  • @angelinapowersuit Feb 10

Hi Chris! Slow start for me this year, as always, but so glad to see and hear you again!

  • @downburst  Feb 9

Yes! I hate the clicking noises! My buffer was too small or something. I'll probably re-record the vocals. Thank you for the listen and the kind words.

Thanks for your comment on Ain't Gonna. I'm glad that you heard the same thing I did (which means my ears aren't totally crazy yet.) Sent you a note on Sundazzle. If you're interested in a collab, just shoot me an email. we'll work something out.

  • @clioem Feb 8

    Oh thank you!!!

  • @srcoops  Feb 8

thanks for your nice comment on My Dear. Good to hear from you. Hope you are doing well. Remember you from the club in Kalamazoo.

  • @jacobeverettwallace  Feb 6

Thanks for the info. I just bought a Squier CV p-bass which I really like but I’m still figuring out the best ways to dial it in for a mix.

  • @owl  Feb 5

Jinx, ha, I just left you a comment on your song at exactly the same time! Thank you for the nice comment! Here's my pro tip on how to punch in: make a time selection and right-click on the record button and select "time selection auto-punch"! That's it! Then you can back it up as far as you want and it will auto-punch at the right spot.

  • @santadharma Feb 5

Aww thanks so much for your comment. Meant to put this here but accidentally posted on our own page. Good to be gracious towards your self too. Self love 😂

  • @owl  Feb 3

Thank you for commenting on "Squid Linguistics"! I'll be back later for some listening!

  • @aesthetic72  Feb 3

Thank you so much for your comment on When the Night Falls - and for the AM comparison. She, Annie Lennox and Sam Brown were my favorite UK female vocalists during the 80s.

  • @dani312  Feb 1

Hey thanks for your feedback on Postcards From The Past!! 😀

  • @guatecoop  Jan 27

Hey Chris!! Great to have you back! I’m certainly going to be asking for collaboration. I hear good things about that mic. Have you tried it! Shockingly, I didn’t get any new mics this year. I really need to focus on mastering what I know. I’m so looking forward to hearing your music again this year. Sooooo good.

  • @zecoop  Jan 22

Hope to hear more amazing stuff from you this year, my friend!! 😀

  • @owl  Jan 22

Looking forward to hearing what you come up with this year! Happy FAWMing!

  • @leslie  Jan 19

You and your skills are eagerly anticipated. Have a rewarding FAWM!

  • @kovbleu  Jan 15

    Holla!
