We are Holly @lanasolyluna and Tomo = Santa Dharma. We'll be back for FAWM 2021, but since we’re just finishing up our first full-length album, and the world is a dumpster fire on top of that, we may take it a lot easier this year. But let’s heal through music. It’s one of the only things that makes sense. Looking forward to hearing what you make.

A little shameless self-promotion: we recently had an interview in a Tokyo magazine, which means a lot to us since most people just ignore us lol

ETA: album up on Bandcamp! Now we can really start FAWMing.

If you don't already know us, we like to make music with old Casios/various synth and strings (fuzzy ukulele, bass, lapsteel). We dig a lo-fi aesthetic and we often play around with live looping.

For some reason, can't make our Bandcamp link work below, so if you want to check it out, it's here:

OK that's all for now. Looking forward to hearing your music!

ETA: sorry we are so behind on listening. Work has been kicking our butts. And Tomo just got wisdom teeth out and is feeling terrible the last few days. Hopefully we can still make it to 14, we're trying XX

    Cheers for all the listens!

They all do the same job don't they, but they were serving Premium Malts at the yakitori place, and we usually have a pack if Kirin 一番搾り in the fridge

  • @hanley  Mar 3

Thanks so much for your lovely comments!
On the collab with Ad that's just a regular electric slide guitar, but it's been doubled (and reversed on some notes!), which proabably gives it more of a lap steel vibe. I do have a nice 60's lappy, but I barely play it as I can't handle playing more than one note at a time! :-p

Ha ha yeah here too. Tea can mean dinner. Dinner can mean lunch or tea, and tea can mean cup of tea!! no wonder we Brits are screwed up 😉

  • @karlsburg25  Mar 2

No i haven't heard her, but will defo check it out. As you probably know over here in england, saying "do you want to come round for a tea" is part of normal language. however i am also a tea addict 😉 .

  • @fuzzy  Feb 28

Yep, I'll be around during March for sure!

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 17

Oops. Ok you got me. I just read the song titles and didn't realize it's an important topic. Sorry about that! I'll buy the pie so you can smash it on my face. I deserve it! Of course my comment was not meant to offend but sometimes what I think is funny could be not so funny so again apologies.

Today began under a cloud, so I decided to treat myself to something nice and bought a copy of your new album.

Oh, what lovely joy that was! I sat and listened straight through and it made everything a lot nicer. I was able to get the day rolling and then dive into new song stuff and I felt energized about it, again.

Then, afterwards, going back to review the liner notes PDF? Oh, that was a dream! I miss good album liner notes.

I love this whole album to bits and am gonna take another break to let it play once more before I dive back into moar music stuffs.

    Congratulations on the release!

  • @iwilleatyou Feb 16

Thanks for the listens! Good to see you two getting your FAWM on 😀.
I thought it was women who talk too much though??? :-p

  • @karlsburg25  Feb 16

Holly i have a bit of something i would love to get your vocals on. Of course no worries if time is tough . its basically a chorus for a funky type tune. (i not finished recording it yet but just heard my demo and thought of you) . Anyway up to you lovely i free and easy

  • @frenchcricket Feb 16

thanks for your comments on the 2 mixes. PS a beachcomb beach (in my head) is a beach that's ripe for beachcombing

  • @tangle  Feb 11

Thanks for listening and for introducing me to Peaking Lights. They're awesome!

  • @zecoop  Feb 10

Thanks for all the love... So, I TRIED to fix the first cheap Hammond I bought. Took the crazy tone generator section apart and oiled everything. Got it all spinning again but the electronics were screwed. I dismantled the whole thing into the garbage (except the amps). The second cheap Hammond I got... I called a repair guy, lol. The surf organ is my cheap GEM combo organ that I love. 🎶🎵

  • @vomvorton  Feb 10

I was trying to be a "man talking too much" in that comment btw but I think FAWM's character count stopped the dumb joke from really landing. Just so you don't think I've gone crazy 😂

  • @nateger Feb 10

It's inspiring to see to see you working hard and it paying off. My mom was born in Japan and grew up in the states so I'd love to visit one day. You never know where you'll find a kindred soul!

  • @nateger Feb 9

I just read your article and your story is so cool! I'm glad you're getting recognition 😊

  • @zecoop  Feb 7

Awesome album, of course. Listened to it three times already. 😀
Going to dig into your first FAWM now...

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 5

Just grabbed the new album and it sounds great! Really digging the expanded instrumentation compared to Sakura High which was a little sparser. The songs are thoughtful and well produced with a very clean sound. Congrats!

  • @vomvorton  Feb 5

Yay, looking forward to hearing your new stuff! Album is great, really great vibe, thoroughly enjoyed my first listen 😁

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 4

Hope you both are well. I'm looking forward to new songs from you. Always highlight of FAWM for me.

  • @zecoop  Feb 3

I finally have made it over to say hi to you both!!! I hope you are well and managing. Looking forward to the album. Any chance you might be up for a collab? I got something done really early this year that sounded like it might work... No pressure, but thought I would ask. 😀
