Influences: Beatles, Randy Newman, Jack Bruce, Peter Green
I've been writing songs for years. Lots of different genres and a few different instruments. This FAWM I'll try and incorporate cigar box guitar music.

Roddy, I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful comments on Share Their Joy and Pain. It means a great deal to me to have such praise from you given your extensive talent and experience. I started writing song lyrics 3 years ago when I retire and love the entire creative process.
I'm just back from work, saw your comment, and I see that Liz has replied. I did follow her lead in treating that verse as a bridge that steps back and summarizes a bit rather than depicting the climax. I've done that in songs before, but I'm not sure if it's called for in this one. Or maybe I was just rushed. Or shy.
Ohhhhh!!!! Kind of glad you didn’t want me to get more graphic with the words...😁
Thanks for your feedback! Always appreciated! I thought about going for more but elected to leave more to the imagination and so people could envision what the climax of the song might be for them. I posted a couple of other sensual songs this FAWM that go a bit further😊and I will take your comment to heart if I rework this one and see how much I can get @nancyrost to sing....😉
I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your lyric and copped an attitude. Somehow it seemed more anti-white than pro-non white. As a white male I guess I was hypersensitive. Apologies.
Yes, NaCl2 would be a rather unstable molecule indeed. Nice snag! Corrected on lyric sheet.
Thank you so much for your feedback on my Swing song. I appreciate your comment on the Sax - very good point!
Thanks so much! Great blues song!
Love it!!!!! Great funky groove! Perfect! Thanks for the collaboration!!!!
Thanks and that would be great!
Thank you for lending me your ears roddy! And ohhhhhhh! Congratulations on the Fawm win!! 😁
Thank you very much for your commetn on my rap 😁 😁 😁 mh I am not sure if you understood my rap like I meant it - what I find very interesting as I realize that there are different options to interprete it 😉
Hey thanks for the kind words for “Mine Tonight.” I actually played the piano this time.
Thanks Roddy. Yeah I usually mess around like that a lot . My family gets frustrated when I do that becourse they sometimes like the songs and I never remember them afterwards, (Ive done improv theater for many years)
I wouldn't expect anything other than a B for Boron. 😁
Thanks for the listen!
Thanks for your supportive comments on Best Friend and I’m glad you got a kick on the ending.
Hi Roddy! Thank you for your comment on "Amedea"! 😀
Oh wow, thanks roddy! I just sweated a lot as I kept messing up on guitar and trying to sing and faffing around on garage band😁
It is always a bit problematic to find the right balance between different instruments. Especially when different kind of speakers give different results and so on. And of course on top of that there's the dilemma of personal taste.
I can admit that I have that problem with right levels every time. Usually on that problem another pair of ears is useful help.
Oh wow, thank you so much for your kind comment on Empty Spaces - it was a difficult place to record (a high school!) so if I achieved what you say that’s wonderful.
And thanks as well for explaning how you recorded it.. I used to record with Garageband on my last I phone and I really got into it as it is so easy to use.. Now I don`t have a software except of audacity and I miss Garageband alot.. I really need to start using my equpment as I have always been to lazy to get into working with it really.. 😉 Good work that you do!
Thank you for your words about "30 seconds" 😀
Hi Roddy, just got back from near your way (well, ish - London and Iceland). Bit braindead at the moment but will try to give FAWM a stab anyway.
Roddy! Wow!! That is so beautiful!! I really love the music - so gorgeous and your vocals are superb on this! You really capture the essence of the sentiment I was trying to convey so well. I am forever grateful!
Thank you for your very kind comments on "Cleaning House", I initially tried to go literal but it wasn't working for me.
Thanks so much for your kind words about my skirmish song Too Much Junk. I think a lot of us are thankful that there's no Junk Jail LOL.
Thanks so much for listening 😀
😁, thanks for looking at my "junk" song!
Hi! Likewise mate
Here’s to a great FAWM...
Hi Roddy, nice to hear from you look forward to having a listen to what you write during this years FAWM.
Time for a Bill Bailey rebuttal? 😀
I can’t stop laughing at ‘Former antelope writes musical.’ Fantastic.
Hi Roddy! Glad to see you back. That's a strange looking piano you have tucked under your arm...
I just built a cigar box guitar from a kit too. Maybe we should start a club.
Cigar box music! Yes!
Hi Roddy, yes, a pity the politicians weren't working so ahrd in teh 1930s when it was marginalyl less hot! I guess there's something to be said for the cooler post-WWII period after all!
Thanks Roddy, have a grest FAWM
