Thank you so much for commenting on our super rough demo. Glad you could enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Following you on

  • @jimwood150 Mar 2

Roddy, I canโ€™t thank you enough for your thoughtful comments on Share Their Joy and Pain. It means a great deal to me to have such praise from you given your extensive talent and experience. I started writing song lyrics 3 years ago when I retire and love the entire creative process.

  • @nancyrost  Feb 26

I'm just back from work, saw your comment, and I see that Liz has replied. I did follow her lead in treating that verse as a bridge that steps back and summarizes a bit rather than depicting the climax. I've done that in songs before, but I'm not sure if it's called for in this one. Or maybe I was just rushed. Or shy.

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 25

Ohhhhh!!!! Kind of glad you didnโ€™t want me to get more graphic with the words...๐Ÿ˜

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 25

Thanks for your feedback! Always appreciated! I thought about going for more but elected to leave more to the imagination and so people could envision what the climax of the song might be for them. I posted a couple of other sensual songs this FAWM that go a bit further๐Ÿ˜Šand I will take your comment to heart if I rework this one and see how much I can get @nancyrost to sing....๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @jwhanberry  Feb 24

I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your lyric and copped an attitude. Somehow it seemed more anti-white than pro-non white. As a white male I guess I was hypersensitive. Apologies.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 24

Yes, NaCl2 would be a rather unstable molecule indeed. Nice snag! Corrected on lyric sheet.

  • @sbs2018 Feb 21

Thank you so much for your feedback on my Swing song. I appreciate your comment on the Sax - very good point!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 21

Thank you very much for your commetn on my rap ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ mh I am not sure if you understood my rap like I meant it - what I find very interesting as I realize that there are different options to interprete it ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @sbs2018 Feb 15

Hey thanks for the kind words for โ€œMine Tonight.โ€ I actually played the piano this time.

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 15

Thanks Roddy. Yeah I usually mess around like that a lot . My family gets frustrated when I do that becourse they sometimes like the songs and I never remember them afterwards, (Ive done improv theater for many years)

  • @metalfoot  Feb 15

    I wouldn't expect anything other than a B for Boron. ๐Ÿ˜
    Thanks for the listen!

  • @jimwood150 Feb 15

Thanks for your supportive comments on Best Friend and Iโ€™m glad you got a kick on the ending.

  • @reklov Feb 11

Hi Roddy! Thank you for your comment on "Amedea"! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @judypie  Feb 9

Oh wow, thanks roddy! I just sweated a lot as I kept messing up on guitar and trying to sing and faffing around on garage band๐Ÿ˜

  • @nikke88  Feb 8

It is always a bit problematic to find the right balance between different instruments. Especially when different kind of speakers give different results and so on. And of course on top of that there's the dilemma of personal taste.

I can admit that I have that problem with right levels every time. Usually on that problem another pair of ears is useful help.

  • @mkd  Feb 8

Oh wow, thank you so much for your kind comment on Empty Spaces - it was a difficult place to record (a high school!) so if I achieved what you say thatโ€™s wonderful.

  • @lain Feb 8

And thanks as well for explaning how you recorded it.. I used to record with Garageband on my last I phone and I really got into it as it is so easy to use.. Now I don`t have a software except of audacity and I miss Garageband alot.. I really need to start using my equpment as I have always been to lazy to get into working with it really.. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Good work that you do!

  • @lain Feb 8

Thank you for your words about "30 seconds" ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @tinattd Feb 6

Hi Roddy, just got back from near your way (well, ish - London and Iceland). Bit braindead at the moment but will try to give FAWM a stab anyway.

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 4

Roddy! Wow!! That is so beautiful!! I really love the music - so gorgeous and your vocals are superb on this! You really capture the essence of the sentiment I was trying to convey so well. I am forever grateful!

  • @wacha  Feb 3

Thank you for your very kind comments on "Cleaning House", I initially tried to go literal but it wasn't working for me.

  • @treble  Feb 3

Thanks so much for your kind words about my skirmish song Too Much Junk. I think a lot of us are thankful that there's no Junk Jail LOL.
