Artist Bio

A very amateur musician who knows he not good but plays because it makes him happy. This is my first year with FAWM so I honestly don't know what to expect. But like most things in life I will give it a try, work hard at it, and hopefully have some fun in the process.

Hey just wanted to say thank you for the comments you left on my song. It is much appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜

Good thing you dont understand Afrikaans: song about political problems in our country is always controversial: power outtages and corruption and then they wait for you to pay your taxes... thanks for listening!

  • @sbs2018 Feb 27

So nice to meet you this FAWM - really enjoyed our interaction. Hope to see you next year.

  • @siestagal22 Feb 27

sorry for the duplicate post. don't know how i did that... lol

  • @siestagal22 Feb 27

You mentioned "The Wolf" by @gazebo and me. We've collab'd before and I love his voice so I always try to feed him good lines. LOL Thanks for your comment @rkeeling75 hope you make it to 14!

Have a listen if you have time. Thanks for your input on Fawm

  • @sbs2018 Feb 22

Thank you SO much for your feedback on my Electro Swing song. Yeah, great idea about the vocals but in full disclosure, Iโ€™m hoping to submit this song to a library listing and they donโ€™t want vocals. Iโ€™ve got a week to get it right. Ack!

  • @dragondreams  Feb 20

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my slightly deranged take on Pachelbel! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
The tags? Well, it started taking over my life at the weekend. What was going to be a two-minute hackabout has turned into a monster. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @davewermers Feb 20

Thank you for the comment on "Keep On Holding On". Thanks for the comparison to Hank Sr. I don't think that has happened. There are so many of his songs I love and have played over the years. I appreciate the listen.

  • @blackrose1313 Feb 19

Thanks for the comment and opinion!

  • @cherok40  Feb 19

Thanks for you kind comments! Much appreciated!

  • @saulius Feb 19

Hi, about Lithuanian songs, I was focusing on English ones at the moment, but I definitely could do that. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • @sbs2018 Feb 19

Electro Swing - oh my! Hope I can do it! Thanks for the comment on โ€œMine Tonight.โ€

  • @jnatiw  Feb 19

Thanks for the kind words! Best to you.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 18

You are too kind! I do this FAWM thing because it's fun and I love the music and the community. Once I get rolling, it's hard to stop. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @abudabard12514  Feb 16

Thanks for your comment on my tune, bud! I love Jonathan Coulton, always a joy to be lumped in with him. Looking forward to digging through your stuff

  • @sbs2018 Feb 16

Okay, no relation then. I had to ask - I saw a resemblance.

Thanks for listening toโ€ Candy Apple Red Shoes.โ€ Funny thing about dance music. That seems to be what I do best. Must be my old Disco days. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • @fuzzy  Feb 14

Thanx for the comment on "The Twenty Three".
Yeah, FAWM is good for experimentation, and anything goes, which is why I do spoken word stuff.

  • @factorytale Feb 14

    I'll definitely be back!

  • @mikeb Feb 14

Thanks for the comment on Bridges. Maybe we need a '2 Chord Challenge'!

  • @zecoop  Feb 13

Thanks a ton - I really do appreciate that! This place is the best and I look forward to it every year. It totally changed my musical life in 2011 when I joined. The more you participate, the more people you will get to know and I have friends all over the world, that I've never met. ๐Ÿ˜€
Keep enjoying your first FAWM! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @mikeb Feb 13

Thanks for the comment on '24 Hours To Midnight'. Lot of good uses for an SM57, of course!

  • @rpasquier  Feb 13

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on Lydian Odyssey. I loved the intention and the execution on FRPF at M51. I used to spend some time with a telescope so these images of M51 conjures up vivid (if blurry) memories. Your image of a robot musicians is very poetic.

  • @ceilidh  Feb 3

Thanks for your comment on Sugar! Have also been there, done that. Welcome to FAWM -- this is my first year trying it out as well!

  • @zecoop  Feb 3

Thanks a ton for checking out my first surf tune... The Hammond made it all come together, in my opinion. Nice when that happens, especially since I just fiddle around by ear. Glad you liked it!

  • @cclady Feb 3

This dude's been rocking this challenge so far.. 2 days in and he's currently finishing up his 2nd song. WAY TO GO! I like the one he's about to upload... I'm special.. I get advanced copies of his work ๐Ÿ˜ฎ).

  • @fuzzy  Feb 2

    Welcome to FAWM!

  • @aneil Feb 2

Hi Thanks for you comments on 12 ways of Christmas this was a random word challenge that came out well I have some musical direction will let you know when demo is up

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 1

Thanks for your kind words on my German song.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

If all the world truly was a stage, then William Yorick felt he had a bit part at best. After studying for years to become a Shakespearean actor, he found that dramatic monologues didn't put bread on the table. So, desperate for work, he had accepted a job as a gravedigger.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

He figured that while gravedigging was an unusual job, there wasn't really anything wrong with it. After all, one of Shakespeare's best scenes involved a gravedigger. Sure, the work was hard and dirty, but William had never shied away from honest labor before.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

That, of course, was before the weird corpses began turning up. Strange, inhuman things, they caused William's flesh to crawl and his palms to sweat. He began to see strangers watching him wherever he went, and he knew instinctively that taking the corpses to the University would be the last mistake he ever made.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

Which is why William finds himself in the pews at South Church. While he has never been a particularly religious man, he finds that Father Michael usually has good advice. Today, William feels like that could make all the difference in the world.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

The name: William Yorick, the Gravedigger

The hook: "Secrets of the Dead"

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

And by the way, welcome to FAWM!

  • @keithcuts Feb 1

Welcome! The city will be busy this weekend. This is my second time around doing this challenge I think youโ€™ll enjoy it a lot

  • @mkd  Jan 31

    Ha ha, well done!

  • @izaakalexander  Jan 31

Welcome to the madness--- 14 songs in 28 days!! --- I noticed you left a response to some of the welcoming committee here on your soundboard yesterday. FAWM is sort of weird this way, but the best way to respond to someone's comments is by going to their profile and leaving a response on their soundboard. This will especially be true when people comment on your songs. Often we visit your new song page for a listen and leave a comment but wouldn't revisit the page and see your response to the comment. We'll notice the response if you put it on our soundboard. I hope this makes sense. You'll see it better once the song posting opens up tomorrow. Best of luck!

  • @cynthiawolff  Jan 31

    Welcome and have fun...
I hope you dive in deep and let it take you away like nothing else can...
Youโ€™ll discover that February will become your favorite m9nth of the year..
Reach out as much as you can
    Do skirmishes!!!

  • @judypie  Jan 30

Hey! Welcome to FAWM! Your bio sounds like my bio when I joined 3 years ago. I still don't think I'm any good ๐Ÿ˜ but people here are so good at finding positives that it doesn't really matter anyway! So long as you're having fun, wooop ๐Ÿ˜

  • @mkd  Jan 30

Welcome to FAWM! This is my second year here, and I can safely say it is a great place to explore your creativity! Thereโ€™s some things to get your head around (eg - to comment back to folks you have to go direct to their profile to do it, they wonโ€™t be told if your respond in your own space - this is especially valuable to know when you respond to feedback on your songs) but the more you engage, the more youโ€™ll get from it ๐Ÿ™‚

  • @rkeeling75 Jan 30

Thank you all for the welcome.

  • @jmadison  Jan 30

Play because it makes you happy! Perfect! Welcome to FAWM

  • @nuj4x Jan 23

  • @andygetch  Jan 15
