Thank you for listening and commenting on Mother Nature is a Menopausal Bitch , etc πŸ˜€
    So much fun doing it

Hi Brandon, no I wouldn't mind. Quite the opposite. πŸ˜€

One more for a neat half-fawm!

As you know, sharing a song like Bells is the hardest; putting out something from my core, done so simply. I appreciate the affirmation that it resonates πŸ˜‰

I would love to hear your recording of it. I suspect his mom wouldn't mind having two versions of it as well.

My condolences to your wife and to you. We're not designed for this loss.

And you never have to ask to cover one of my songs. As long as I get a peek at it when you're done, you have carte blanche my friend.

One thing I love about fawm is being here for several years and still finding wonderful writers who've been here, too, that I never knew. I see you haven't been active for several years, but still... I go back a few. I'm glad to discover you now!

Never heard of Fralin pickups. The bass sounds great! Thanks for the info.

Hey Brandon, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate getting these encouraging comments from someone of your musical caliber. Thanks a lot. You’ve been on my watchlist forever and it’s really good to have you back after your last break.

  • @rickcannon Feb 11

Thanks for your comment! I can totally see that track setting the scene in a dark indie film. The synth sounds are all from my Korg Minilogue.

  • @spinhead Feb 11

Your beautiful comment on "Check the Map" makes me feel good about myself πŸ˜‰

  • @scottlake  Feb 10

Just listened to Weighing Me Down. Maybe I can add a simple B3 line to this - something like One Headlight by The Wallflowers, type of thing. Let me know if that would work. Thinking of our collaboration - I have some lyrics only songs I haven't posted, maybe I should shoot you some of those?

  • @andrewjtaylor  Feb 7

Checked out your ReverbNation and played "Words Aren't Violence." LOVE your sound. Love how you used that trombone (?) and harmonies in that intro. So Good. That sound was so my thing in the 2000s (Our Lady Peace - Gravity) and you did it so well and made it so fresh. Can also relate to the topic of the song. πŸ˜€ Listening further, and checking out the video, your sound is consistent yet diverse, and always high in quality.

Thanks very much for taking the time to listen to ALL THREE of my FAWM songs. Really appreciate that, and your kind words. I guess you'd know what "the knack" is, given your qualifications. I actually have two additional songs I wrote and LOVE, but I wrote them before the lyricists gave me permission and the lyrics had already been promised to another 😐 I jumped on the lyrics because I have to feel a quick connection with them in order to write to them. If that connection's there, I can typically get the chords and melody down in 5 minutes (with very minor revisions to come later). Lyrics are my weakness (or, at the very least, the part of my songwriting where instinct isn't yet the primary factor at play). Thanks again! Looking forward to further submissions from you.

    Wow! You're Back! πŸ˜€

Hi, yes let's get something going collab wise, be great to hear your thoughts on what you'd like to do

  • @zecoop  Jan 29

And, just for the record, I do tons of collaborations with people, if you are so inclined. I don't do lyrics/vocals in general, so if you see a song of mine that sounds like something you'd like to add to please let me know. πŸ˜€

  • @zecoop  Jan 29

Checking out your music now... sounds fantastic! I'm really looking forward to hearing what you come up with for FAWM this year! Seems like I should have known about you from when you were here before, but if not, it's nice to know you now. πŸ˜€

  • @zecoop  Jan 29

Cut and mangle away! Can't wait to hear it.

  • @mdavisto  Jan 27

Oooooo your sounds are super shiny.

    Welcome back!

  • @vikkiflawith Jan 26

HIya! may you have a merry FAWM! I'll be 'watchin you' 😁

  • @mikedebenham  Jan 26

    <affects suprise>Well, goodness me, you're back!

Westone does have distribution through audiologist offices in Canada - or you might be able to buy them direct off the westone website. It's been over 4 years since I worked there. Does this web-page let you ship to Canada?

Great! I need to keep a collab dancecard on my profile. I just read @stephenwordsmith's comment and I'm Going Home is also on my list of one of the very best songs I have heard out of FAWMers and just a great song FAWM or not. However, Pictures from a Hospital Bed also ranks as one of my faves as well. The phrasing of the lyrics in that one with your distinctly reedy voice - dang what a song! I use the word 'reedy' in the most positive respect, btw.

  • @scottlake  Jan 25

Are you actually back? I have asked in the forums over the years if anyone has heard from you recently. I will not forget being floored by your songs from 07 or 08. Up for a collab perhaps? I do everything but drums. Vocals are baritone.

  • @stephenwordsmith Jan 23

    Hi, Resonance.

When a friend introduced me to this madness, back in 2008, she lent me a copy of the third FAWMpilation to sell me on it.

I remember being impressed by your closing track, 'I'm Going Home', and still regard it as one of the best songs to have come out of this challenge.

I saw in the forum you were open to collaborating with lyricists. I'm not a TSA member, but if you were willing to consider putting one of my lyrics to music this ear, I would be very happy - and we would doubtless have a marvellous creation!

Cheers, and all the best for the challenge!

Great to see you back here!
