FAWM, year five! I still don't actually know what I'm doing, but that's okay! I never do.
Yes, I still plan on putting out an album at some point, not sure when. I've been going through a helluva dry spell for the past year and a half, song-wise. It's my hope that this year will be different and I will get more than one or two songs.
I know you probably might not see this since its almost a week past FAWM, but I just wanted to say - You mentioned on a song that you were dissapointed that you didn't get more songs done - I don't think you should be! You are very much a winner. You created 3 new pieces of fantastic art that would not have existed if you hadn't decided to jump in with us! Each new song is a step forward - a new piece of light in the darkness! Thank you for sharing them with us!
Keep the fire burning and keep writing!
Thank you for your feedback on I'll Still Love You 'Til the End! I had to practice for a long time to be able to sing it to my husband on Valentine's Day, as it didn't seem like tears and sniffles would be very romantic. 😀
Thanks, Lauren. Glad you're still here. I completely sympathise with you about finding creative energy. I think creativity requires a certain degree of awareness and sensitivity, and awareness and sensitivity make the world today pretty tough going. I really don't know what the answer is, but we can't let it stop us creating. Would it help you to know that your songs are making the world better, for me and for everyone who hears them? (And another song from you would make the world better still. 😀 )
Thanks for your lovely feedback on Baby I'm Through - really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share your thoughts!! Lucy Dacus just appeared on my radar about 6 months ago and I loved her sound so much I got the same electric hollow body guitar - I see she is a musical influence for you. I love Joan Shelley also and many others you listed.
Yes, likewise! Thank you so much for commenting. I'm looking forward to hearing your music as well. Best of luck to you this month!
I really enjoyed your song and looking at your bio I can see why - we have a lot of the same musical influences and some a bit obscure so I have copied your list and am going to check out the ones I do not know 😁!
Hey thanks so much for all of your kind and thoughtful comments on my music! I’ll be checking out Sydney Gish for sure 😀
🙏🏽🙌🏽Thank you so much for the kind words, and for listening! Looking forward to seeing you get past the 2 song mark! 🔥
Hi Lauren! Have a great FAWM!
Yay FAWM! So glad to see you back! Let's do this thing! 😀
Welcome to FAWM and so looking forward to your songs! I will have one up soon.
You're too nice. 😁 I will try to get a recording up as soon as I can. Still waiting for the allergy meds to kick in. Hope you get something posted soon too. I am excited for it! 😀
Yo! I got to your wall first! Huzzah! 😁 Happy Fawming!
