Artist Bio

Influences:   I love music and am easily inspired.

Music has always been a grand love affair. Because of the attraction to instruments of all kinds, I collect them, play them and use them in compositions like bass clarinet for the bass line or solo with mandolin and mandola. Whatever it is, syncopated rhythms, African drums, electronica or the delicate sounds of the charango or hammer dulcimer, let's mix it up.

    here:

    gonna write something for you
    it might take tomorrow
all those parties we've been to
all those (bitter?) pills we swallowed

gonna fly to a decent city
    gonna expand horizons
    all that negativity
    all those tranquillizers

    chorus - may repeat
honey, go ahead, spread the word
    everybody needs a third

you're my bridge, i'm your river
    that's all we do
    god, let's get the fever
    let's get through
    ---
feel free to edit, and let's do a duet!

Cool! We love it here. Very friendly people and the culture is kind of a mix among Turkish, Persian, and other Middle Eastern influences with some European elements thrown in.

I love instruments. The gadulka is so great. When I travel I usually come home with new instruments.

  • @lowhum Feb 24

The bowed instrument is called a gadulka https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadulka
I can try to scribble some lyrics and maybe come up with some chords to them and you can do anything with both. We can also do it the other way around, whoever comes up with something. It's all fine by me I believe music should belong to the people.

Yo, thanks for commenting on one of my latest collabs. Appreciate the visit!

  • @arthurrossi Feb 22

Hey! I would like to thank you for the great song you made of "Give me some more wine"! I like the instrumentation, lovely melody and your singing is awesome! The jazz-direction gives it a beautiful nonchalant touch. I am very happy how it turned out, thank you very, very much!

  • @lowhum Feb 21

Basically it's good to writ on the personal page, otherwise answers get lost in the comments. I also write on brmini80, but there is no drum making machine, the preset grooves are very guitarist oriented. It's a good solution though when you travel light. And you can fit about a 1000 songs. I wish we could collab on something if you like my stuff. I do music/lyrics as per se.

That is one heck of a weekend.

  • @pvk2020  Feb 17

Well, I have a lot of stuff to work with for song writing after the unusual weekend. Played Friday night and Tom forgot the bass. He said I was too loud and said, "what if I turn the main all the way down?" Fool. Saturday was chill and I worked on songwriting all day. My drummer son had a gig in Montana and cleaned up real nice in his pin stripe goodwill suit. He plays in a fine swing band. At 2:59 am my phone rang. Damn. I could hear him but the connection was bad. There I was awake til 4:09 running worst case scenario in my head. He put the truck in the ditch. The friend, Mikey was dead and I would have to adopt his dog. Damn. Finally I fell asleep and woke again around 7:11. Called dad. He said they spent the night. But Mikey got antsy and the headed out in a snow storm.
Turned out not so bad. I had drive 147 miles to pick up the lost boys and the dog. The truck did roll into ditch. Mikey and the dog flew out into the snow bank. Dagan, my son, pitched a tent for them until dawn. Fo
