2019 (Hey it's the year of the pig)

Somewhere in the area of 130th this year, pretty sure this is my earliest finish.

Recording space still not set-up (make shift laptop set up for now).
Ready to go
Feb.1 Woke up this morning and this formed in the morning haze
Going lick your innuendo
Going to taste your cliche
Not sure if that is usable.

Now I'm thinking she wore a coat of bees

We'll see what happens when I get home tonight.
Got home came up with the chords laid them down nothing on lyrics yet.

Feb.2 Skirmish(s) to the rescue got 2 done I'm on my way.

Feb. 3 Sunday skirmish gives me a 3rd and I finished a 4th I was working on before the skirmish.

2018 Awww, some super kind person bought me rock hand, thank you stranger.
I squeaked a win (#456 or so)
Now living in, West Allis (Milwaukee County), WI
(also know as Stallis & Westallica)

The past year was interesting.
New house, a studio in the basement eventually, hopefully.
Going to try writing on piano this year, we'll see what happens.

Here is my original blurb from 5 years ago
Been Playing guitar for like a hundred years (I'm old). Just heard about this a couple of days before it started last year, thought I'd give it a go. I'm a procrastinator by trade, so this will be a challenge for me.

Thank you for your kind comment! Much appreciated!

Thank you fro your kind words on "Barbra" I think I'm going to leave the title as is. I played it for some friends and they all said the title worked nicely. I think as I progress with the other characters I'll just make sure not to use their names as the titles.

  • @cts  Mar 3

    Congratulations on the win!

  • @standup  Mar 2

Thanks for listening to Before Midight. The sounds are a fender tweed Princeton somebody built from a kit and a parts caster tele some other guy built. So, nearly Fender, but fake Fender.

  • @headfirstonly  Mar 2

Cheers for the kind comment on Dragon Track - the B-3 is an Arturia VST plugin that's being triggered by me playing my Korg M3, using it solely as a MIDI controller. Which is overkill, I know, but it's the best keyboard I have. πŸ˜€

The "twelve string" is actually the Parker Fly's Fishman pickup built in to the bridge, with an aggressive high-pass filter to take away everything below about 500 Hz. It gets a great, glassy tone.

thanks for your comments on keeping me up at night. in the days when i lost a lot of sleep over girls, those stay awake nights were frenetic, never contemplative. going back to my furnished room and writing songs after smashing my guitar against the outside walls of a club where a ex girlfriend showed up at my gig, then running madly through the streets, scribbling graffitti on the route taken by a faithless lover.....so thats the kind of frenzy kristis lyrics aroused in me

  • @tuneslayer2018  Feb 23
