Influences: 50s, 60s & 70s folk, country, pop, and rock.
I was the typical consumer-only music fan until getting involved with the filk* community in 2004. Since then, I've spent a lot of time on original music, writing and performing.

Outside of music, my work and play involves computers, cats, cameras, and science fiction and fantasy literature.
Update for 2012: This will be my third time attempting FAWM. 2010 was a struggle; 2011 was fun; I have no idea how this will turn out.
What I would like to do is write some songs to complete (?) two continuing musical stories that I've been working on. What I'll probably do instead is whatever comes to mind as the month rushes past.
Update for 2013: 50/90 didn't go too well for me this year and I don't think I've written *anything* in six months. It feels like starting all over now but I hope to get myself motivated.
Update for 2014: I have a new guitar. It has pickups. I'm not sure how much of an influence that will be on what I write. I'm not sure of much, actually.
Update for 2015: I'm suspecting that there will be more than the usual number of lyric-only posts from me this year. The first week of March features a rare concert that I actually want to practice for when I have time to play my guitar.
Update for 2016: This year I have no specific FAWM plans and, unlike last year, nothing obvious to act as a barrier. Here's to a good month of music for all of us!
With a few days to go in 2016, I got hit by some kind of virus that has knocked out my chest, throat, and energy level. It has been a good year so far, but the plug has now been pulled.
Update for 2017: Looking forward to a month of songs. My musical activity in the second half of 2016 was very low and I'm hoping a new FAWM will correct that.
Update for 2018: I think I now know that there's no way of predicting how well or poorly I'll do in the coming month. I feel as if I need some new music, though, so I'll do what I can to keep the muse busy.
No songs by this fawmer (yet).
The fact that your FAWM name says that you are a “FILK mill”, is either a stellar coincidence, or a diabolically clever bit of login-creation genius.
In either case, I hope there is a vast quantity of output in the genre.
I hope you have a great event!
