Cool. It’s nice to see people I listen to, like Cosmic Rough Riders, Emmit Rhodes, Trashcan Sinatras, and even Tim & Mollie O’Brien! I’ll enjoy discovering new ones I don’t know. The Pearlfishers and The Red Button would fit nicely on this list too.

  • @thedustcollector Mar 18

hey, this is a (very belated) thank you for your incredibly thoughtful comments! sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.

re: collabs outside of FAWM: do you do 50/90 at all? I tend to stick to scheduled challenge months for songwriting, because it'd consume my life if I didn't. If you're doing 50/90 this year (or heck, FAWM next year) and you're still up for a collab, though, I'd be keen.

  • @jonmeta  Mar 15

Thanks again for your comments. Please point me toward Jeff's Spotify playlist so I can have a listen.

  • @gm7  Mar 14

Thx for the kind words and suggestions on my songs.
I will have a listen to your catalogue soon.

  • @tamsnumber4  Mar 5

Thanks for listening to my songs "Start Walking in Your Dreams", "Blue Snow" and "Amelia" and my collab songs with mikeb "Tears at Midnight" and "Fades to Gray", I appreciate it!!

  • @mandolinda  Mar 5

Me and Sylvia is true. It’s hard to believe that was more than 60 years ago, seems like yesterday. Most of my songs are based on my experiences through my lifetime. Thanks for the listen.

  • @ayehahmur  Mar 3

You're very welcome, and thanks for taking the time to listen to mine too.

  • @scubed  Mar 2

Thanks so much for your kind comment on “Wasn’t That a Party”!

Congratulations on finishing your first FAWM! I hope you had a wonderful time. I’ve really enjoyed the songs of yours I’ve already heard - including, of course, your lovely treatment of “If We Lived on the Moon” - and look forward to listening to the rest of them in the coming days.

  • @sheilerk  Mar 1

If you want to redo and update it tomorrow, go for it. I trust your judgement.

  • @sheilerk  Mar 1

Good to know that I can add a collaborator for music even after the doors close. Updates of any of the fawm songs are totally legit! It would have been a shame for it not to get posted.

  • @sheilerk  Mar 1

A very fun tune you’ve come up with. I’ve added you as a collaborator on this. I’m not certain, but you should be able to link a music file to it now. Do you have a hosting site?

  • @tukayandryan  Feb 28

Thank you so much for listening to our songs and for your lovely feedback. We really appreciate it😊

  • @musicsongwriter  Feb 26

Hi Justin, thank you, it's definitely something to think about.

  • @musicsongwriter  Feb 26

Hi Justin, thank you for your kind comment and sharing thoughts on Castle in the sky. Chris created his lyrics and vocal melody to my piano piece which I composed to a skirmish prompt about Sandcastles in the sky. When vocals are added to the piano it will be impossible to take away piano notes as the recording will suffer as a result. Anyway it was very interesting to read your thoughts. Due to my set up I need to start from the piano and then the vocals are added, not the other way round so some of the ideas sadly I can't follow but I appreciate you taking time and sharing your beautiful thoughts. Thank you again.

  • @musicsongwriter  Feb 26

Thank you Justin, I have to focus on many things in a short space of time so didn't see your link right away. Thank you for your kind visit.

  • @jeff9  Feb 26

You are too kind, J. Much obliged for the comments on "If Anybody Cares"

  • @scubed  Feb 26

Thanks so much for the lovely comment on my collab with Cindy! 😊

  • @mikeb Feb 26

Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Timeless'. Yes, if you haven't seen The Man in the High Castle, the story would be unclear - its not clear in the show either!

  • @jeff9  Feb 26

Means a great deal to hear your kind words, amigo. Thanks very much.

  • @jeff9  Feb 25

Thanks, J. Not a lot of thought went into any of it--just my crude instinct to do something there that was musically slightly arresting and unresolved sounding with a view to tracking with the content of what was being said, which is also sort of unresolved. Might've missed the boat, though. Hope someone else takes a run at interpreting this, too--it could go a lot of different ways I think.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 24

I may have stolen that guitar break from Townshend, yeah. Was wondering if anyone would notice.

  • @crisp1  Feb 22

Thanks, Justin, for your comment on Losing My Head. Definitely had fun writing that once I realized the right direction to take!

  • @sheilerk  Feb 21

Hi Justin 😊 Thank you for your comments on my song Cat “food”. I’d love it if you were to find a melody for it!!

  • @scubed  Feb 21

Thanks very much for the generous comment on “Pushing Upward (Rolling Down the River)”! There’s a lot of polishing I want to do, both lyrically and musically, but it’s a start.

  • @crisp1  Feb 21

I just woke up and found By Some Miracle. You made something very special with it, Justin. I put my own liner note in there, too. Thanks for another collaboration!

  • @cleanshoes  Feb 20

I am familiar with Sarah Jarosz! She's fantastic. I was lucky enough to see her when she and the Milk Carton Kids went on a joint tour several years ago. I'm more familiar with her older stuff, though, and haven't given her most recent album a good listen yet. Thanks for the reminder!

  • @mikeb Feb 18

Thanks for the comment on my week 3 challenge song!

  • @scubed  Feb 18

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on "The Zodiac Wheel"! 😀 I see you've also received some enthusiastic feedback on your musication of "If We Lived on the Moon" - congrats! I'll be back later to listen to more of your songs.

    I didn't realize until just now that you're a FAWMling! I hope you're having a great time.

  • @cleanshoes  Feb 18

Thank you so very much for your kind comments on my songs! It's much appreciated. 😀

  • @crisp1  Feb 18

If you need me to tinker with the bridge, let me know. I'm happy to play with it.

  • @crisp1  Feb 17

OK, Justin! I'll put it down as yours. Look forward to hearing what you come up with. Thanks!

  • @mikeb Feb 16

Thanks for the comment and production suggestion for my collab with Tammy!

  • @jeff9  Feb 15

Thank you, J, for the kind words on my little treatment of Doug's (@crisp1) "Pardon My Love" lyric. His words just jump right into a guitar without much effort, don't they?

  • @scubed  Feb 15

Thanks for listening to my “Sandcastles” skirmish song!

  • @mikeb Feb 15

Thanks for the comment on my collab with Julie!

  • @misterd Feb 15

Thanks so much for listening to my blues song ! I do appreciate it . Hope it’s all going well for you !

  • @gregthehero Feb 14

    I really like your voice!

  • @tamsnumber4  Feb 14

Hi Justin, did not know you were on FAWM! What a nice surprise!!

  • @scubed  Feb 13

You can list me by name. Thanks!

  • @scubed  Feb 13

Thanks for the kind comment on “Workin’ On That Now”!

  • @scubed  Feb 13

Look forward to hearing it! 😊

  • @crisp1  Feb 12

Thanks for the surprise song again and for the really nice words you wrote in your comment on Ain't Gonna Get Any Better. It's been fun to have so many Muse-icians here.

  • @berni1954  Feb 12

Er... sorry... It appears that YOU wrote the Happy Version. At least according to your list above, which I didn't notice when I wrote the note below 😁 Where is the red faced icon when you need it?

  • @berni1954  Feb 12

Happy you liked my take on Doug's "Just One" - you should check out the other "happy" version I heard this evening. Amazing how a single added line turns the song on its head.

  • @berni1954  Feb 11

Glad you liked my song "She Dances with Sorrow". Oh and a huge thanks for your comment on my youthful sounding voice. I'm 67 next month; so any references to "youth" are very welcome 😁

  • @scubed  Feb 11

I’m glad you like the point of view! I was drawing a blank in that skirmish and wasn’t going to try anything until, with about 15 minutes left, I thought of the famous “Earthrise” photo. I didn’t have time for music at that point - hence the spoken-word-with-trippy-background vibe. 😊

  • @scubed  Feb 11

It’s great to see, you, by the way! 😊

  • @scubed  Feb 11

Be my guest! I look forward to hearing what you come up with. 😊

  • @fonte  Feb 9

Absolute pleasure I came back for another listen. Really beautiful and powerful song, thank you so much!

  • @mikeb Feb 7

Thanks for the comment on my week 1 challenge song!

  • @donna  Feb 7

Heyyyyyy! What are you doing here without telling me!?? 😊

  • @mikeb Feb 4

Hi Justin, hope to hear more songs from you!
