Artist Bio

Feb. 28-- I made it over the finish line and now I will collapse--I'm definitely coming down with something. (Probably just a cold--don't panic)
Thanks to everyone for their wonderful comments. I am going to retreat to an easy chair and do some serious listening now.

Feb 1: Five years with FAWM! I should get a watch or a tuner or something--although the first two times I didn't make it to 14, so maybe not.

I've been playing ukulele for over 5 years, and singing all my life.

I am looking forward to this wonderful obsession. I keep thinking I should go for quality over quantity--but then I'll never get 14 done. Fine tuning is for the other 11 months of the year, right?

Speaking of being finely tuned, my Oaks & Prairies album is available with content from previous FAWMs. I am backed by a wonderful group of musicians: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/dianegree... or if buying music isn't your thing: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1KOZz...

Totally agree! That one particular wait is taking it’s toll already.

  • @scubed  Feb 28

Thanks for the listen and nice comment on “The Copperhead”! I’ll be back later to listen to more of your music.

HI, thanks for listening to my song, glad you liked it. Yeah, I miss democracy, I hope I'm at least doing what I can to help restore it.

  • @scubed  Feb 28

Thanks very much for your kind comment on my collab with @kahlo2013!

  • @phoenixash Feb 28

OH NOES!!!!! HAHAHAAHH SO BAD. Well I didn't hear any scratchyness, just a lovely and light timbre creating a gruesome tale.

Gamsahabnida (I know like two Korean words haha). Thanks for listening to Mom's Piano and for your kind comments. Yes, her home will be cleaned out this weekend and that piano is the one memory that will always remain with me.

    Ukuleles 4 ever!

  • @bjunker  Feb 15

Thanks for the kind words about "Star Light". I thought that I had lost the thread of that song last year, so it was a pleasure to find a way to complete it.

Thanks for your feedback on the Chapman Swifts! The swifts were valued enough that the children would spend the first month in coats each year, doing without heat. Later, the Audubon Society and others helped put in a new natural gas heating system so the kids would be warm and the swifts could be safe in the old oil furnace's chimney. Then a collar was put on the chimney with lines running to the building to help reinforce and stabilize it in case of an earthquake.

Thanks for the comments on "Only for a minute"! That's really what I was going for with the guitar line and the very ambiguous chords under the verses.

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 11

Thanks! If only Joan Baez were a FAWMer ..😊

  • @bjunker  Feb 9

Thanks for the kind words about Walk In The Rain. Mando actually, but I thought it sounded like a uke too!

  • @arthurrossi Feb 4

Hey! I am very happy to see you here, and thanks for the kind welcome! 😀 Looking very forward to your new songs!

  • @timfatchen  Feb 4

yes, we're okay. The big S Oz fire passed 6 miles to the north, tho at some stage another will come straight at us. Our daughter's place, well, if they can get through the summer (to mid March on the alpine tops) I'll be hugely grateful. All prepared for the worst now. Dog in residence here not there.(!) THanks for the thoughts, life is stressed and your words help!

  • @hummingbear  Feb 3

Lovely! Yes, you're welcome to do the Pancake song. Give me a sec to mark it a collab.

  • @hamiltonpoolhall  Feb 3

@oaksnprairie I was actually thinking about the turtle, not the orange one, at the time, but am glad that it reads both as breakup and the other way 😀. Looking forward to hearing you again this year!

Happy FAWMing! Fifth year for me too.
