Artist Bio

Influences:   Americana, Roots, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Celtic. My spirit animal is Ben Folds.

2019 Bio: I can’t believe this is my 10th FAWM!

I'm a strong chord and melody-writer who leans towards the unconventional. I've taken many Nashville songwriting workshops but I don’t let the training kill my creativity.

I'm good at starting lyrics and also good at helping to make existing lyrics more effective.

This year, I’m going to write for the two bands I currently play in: one Rock/Jam band (music available in February) and one Celtic/Folk band (

I had fun adding sax parts and solos for other FAWMers in previous years so I'm happy to offer this again. I'm also pretty strong on flute, Irish whistle, and vocals.

Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to collaborate or swap tracks. I'm good with techie stuff too.

I look forward to the community and madness that can only be described as FAWM.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I kind of went down a list I've been keeping on my phone, so. 😁

Hey, thanks for the surprise addition! Great hook and playing; this should be fun to work with. I may have to sleep soon but I guess I can add it tomorrow....

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 28

Thank you!!!! Such wonderful playing on both tracks!

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 25

Actually I didn't bother locking it as it still sounds listenable even without a solo. But the file is now without any sax. You can feature in the intro, the solo and the ending and any other remarks that fit in the spaces. 😀 So excited!!

I just found out I'm on the road two days earlier than expected. This means I won't be able to mix and upload things easily. So I added you as a collab for Blue Velvet Jacket so you can upload the new track. The only trick in that song is picking up where it shifts from the flat seven to the major seven in the verse. I'm sure you can hear it though. I'll add you as a collab for Long Time Gone as soon as I have uploaded a sax-less version. I'll lock it then you can upload the new demo and unlock it again. Does that make sense?! It's 3am...

Awesome! I’ll send them when I get home tonight.

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 24

Looks like your busy, but it never hurts to ask right? My friend was too busy to get fiddle down for Blue Velvet Jacket so if you are still keen to add something as a collab that would be amazing.

  • @nancyrost  Feb 23

    Emailed you.

hi Geoff, just a note to say I'm running late with the bossa, but hope to mix and post this weekend. cheers!

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 22

Just a note to say I put up a demo for Long Time Gone. It has the dreadfully random sounding Band in a box saxophone, but if you wanted to collaborate by playing something more beautiful you would be very welcome!!

Hey there Geoff, thanks for your comment on my skirmish lyric. It’s turned into an up tempo Latin thing that could use some Getz style saxophone? Do you have any time?

  • @nancyrost  Feb 20

I had been thinking of the sax for Crimson, but maybe we could do something new instead? I'll have time to start more new stuff in a couple days, but feel free to email me any ideas in the meantime.

  • @nancyrost  Feb 17

I have a track I'd love a sax solo on. How's your availability looking?

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 9

Thanks for your offer of whistle/flute. I’m just trying out an idea with my friend on fiddle and then I’ll see how much space is left over- but I’m definitely interested.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment on "I need to kiss you". Interesting that you should bring u pthat last chorus line that just says "tonight". I went back and forth the whole time while writing and singing it as to whether I should make that line longer. Ultimately in this rendition it become just "tonight", but possibly should go another way. Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I may just use that line. 😀

Hello, fellow Constitution Stater! I look forward to following the FAWM musical output of another resident of this corner of the Northeast!

  • @apertome  Jan 28

I'd love to collaborate again, it's always a pleasure and we always come up with interesting stuff. I still need to figure out what kind of album I want to make ...

  • @apertome  Jan 25

Hey, hope you're around again this year. I'll be here somewhat at least. Not sure what I'm doing yet, haha.
