Happy to be back for FAWM 2020. The songs posted here are ragged field recording kinda iPhone one-takes done at home in a cabin without electricity or running water. Maybe I’ll clean them up and take them downtown sometime .

I’ve been living in Whitehorse, Yukon since 1991. Made a full length solo record "Mayfly Days" awhile back and then i fell in love with clawhammer banjo and began to focus more on old-timey music. Collaborating with my longtime and multi-talented friend Kim Beggs resulted in the vocally-driven, old-timey duo The Blue Warblers whose two full-length recordings "Pretty Good" (2012) and Birds (2013) were nominated for Canadian Folk Music Awards.
A bit of a hiatus from recording/touring in recent years as I’ve taken to going for lengthy song- fodder walks in Spain (Camino Santiago de Compostela )

Thank you for the comments! And, more importantly, for introducing me to the word ‘aspartame’ 😀

You really know how to FAWM. I’m sure you’re having an amazing time.

Thanks for being kind about Another Final Warning - you are right about the sun rises comment - I was thinking specifically of the rather haunting song: The Sun Will Rise Yet We Won't Be Here by Heinali when I wrote that!

Sorry to hear about the damage to the trees. I once did a long car trip from Madrid to Santander then through the Picos de Europa and along the coast of Asturias and Galicia to Santiago. Beautiful trip. Thanks for the song and the memories.

Thanks for your comments on "Earth's Bucket List," a light treatment of the issue about which I'm really heartsick (as are so many). Btw, have you heard Judy Collins' song "River of Gold," a poignant lament about the loss of nature. It's worth looking up on YT.

thanks for your comments on the FAWMage! At last I have a moment to listen to you. 😀

Natalie, thank you for listening to my two songs and your kind comments. Much appreciated. I wandered around late night Vancouver this past weekend and made a point of looking homeless people in the eye/giving them smokes/change. But for the grace of god/a roll of the dice that could be any of us.

Hey, friend, great to be back at the FAWM with you. And thanks for your lovely comments about "Play With Me." Unfortunately I've fallen behind song-wise, sidetracked to make charts for a music jam I run in early March. But I hope to sneak back into contention for a win.... and aim to dip into your new songs, above, for both joy and inspiration!
