2019 will apparently be my twelfth FAWM. Wow.
I play in a few bands but for original stuff I'm mostly a basement musician (guitar with occasional bass/keys/drums), I use software tools (mostly RealTracks with Band-in-a-Box but occasionally straight up MIDI tricks) to try to hide/fix the defects and fill in the gaps.
I occasionally add accompaniment tracks to guitar/vocal and piano/vocal tracks created by other songwriters. Contact me if that's something you might like me to do for you and I'll send you a link to a couple of examples.
I have an inner critic named Edgar that I need to tie up and gag occasionally in order to get anything done. I was going to write a song about him but he told me it was a stupid idea. 😉
If you want to collaborate on something, just ask. I'm fine with it most of the time unless someone else already has asked to work with whatever I've started.
A few of my current and former band mates are FAWMers including @axoqueen @jcuempire @dannen @jenniferjerboa
I really like what you did with I'm not waiting. I'll see if I can get a vocal to it, maybe SherryCanary might like to do it. I'll try it myself, but I have someone working at my house on the carport for the next three days, so not sure how that'll go! I'll add you as collaborator. Feel free to post the music while we see about vocals.
Monty! I love the music and I think your vocals are fine to post! Please go ahead and post and maybe a vocalist will pick it up! I tend not to ask people as I know they have a million things going on ....
Sure! If you change the their and they can you go with her and she?
I would love for you to put music to it!
Thanks for the reviews. I appreciate it. My BA is in history so I tend to write about that. Lofty praise having a Kinks vibe. I’m sure it’s not deserving of that. It was an idea that didn’t pan out to my mind. I might fix it in the future. Thanks again
Hi Monty, I still remember you from way back. You remember me I'm sure? Hard to believe it's been that long. Good to see you. Only a few of us left. Julie goes way back but she doesn't participate in 5090 anymore, or FAWM, sadly. Larry W Jones goes back pretty far too. See you around and great start on your first song.
What's the good word? Have fun this month. The nice thing about FAWM is that it's one of the few things that working at night doesn't mess up. Talk to you soon.
Are you firing up the groove machine young man?
Last year was epic working with your tunes. Hope to see you around for our 12th!
