Artist Bio

Influences:   I have a kind of folk-pop sensibility so artists like Ed Sheeran and Maggie Rogers are currently strong influences. I appreciate songs with strong lyrics and a little bit of poetry to them.

In the year 2021, if man is still alive, if woman can survive, they may FAWM!

Me too! Year 13. You may have heard about my dust-up with the Tonight Show. Thanks to everyone here for the incredible support! Did they learn their lesson? No. Link to the story: https://www.worcestermag.com/story/news/2020/12/06/tonight-show-sta...

I will get to 14. I make this promise to myself and I will keep it. I expect I will do more listening early on this time so I can be inspired.

I have plans to record a new album starting in April to be titled Drifting To The Right. Also working on a screenplay project which is deepening my appreciation for classical piano. Hoping this will be a good year and from 2020, nowhere to go but up!

I appreciate the kind words on my tune! This FAWM has been a wonderful opportunity to follow the muse wherever she wants to take me. Also I just read your news article - what a wild story! Glad it didn't stop you from sharing your music

  • @thatsmaboy  Feb 20

Hi @mikegtz thanks for the comment on Its Not Worth It (for a selfie). It was initially inspired by the following article but I think itโ€™s grown into more of an allegory for โ€œdonโ€™t be so f**ing shallow!!โ€ - something I find myself thinking quite a lot. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/newsbeat-4574...

  • @jessespillane Feb 20

Hey, title 'Nine times' is as significant as life itself, very unpredictable and spontaneous ๐Ÿ˜€ Have a good day!

  • @katmtl Feb 17

Hello! Iโ€™m willing to try to work on your song here. Do you have a chord progression for it yet? ๐Ÿ˜†

Hey there! Thank you for listening to Aquarius! It was such a fun solo to work on. โค๏ธ Mixolydian is fun!

  • @musicsongwriter  Feb 15

Hi Michael, please don't worry, it happens to all of us. The button is in the place where it's too easy to click on. Thank you for fixing it though.
I have the same problem when I log on my bank account and I want to log out, instead I often click on help as the buttons are near. Have a nice evening.

  • @gbg2016  Feb 14

Thanks for the additional collab invitation, but I think I'd better do the ones I've already committed to first! Been out of commission all week but planning to dive in as soon as my son takes off for work...

  • @emmylee Feb 11

    Yes! A heartato. Or poteart?

  • @mikeb Feb 8

Thanks for the comment on my week 2 challenge song!

  • @ohitsjustjose Feb 6

I know of you. Because of you, I joined FAWM. I think it wasnโ€™t cool of them to do, reading that article. It would seem everyone else in that segment legit had a weird angle, while you were probably found last minute and added in the middle. I think you should get back by becoming performing on his show with a nice pop hit (possibly a cringe thing to say, but it would most likely get you there) and get show him.

I hail from Chicago. Thanks for writing me.

  • @nancihobson1  Feb 5

Hi Mike! Thanks for the listen and nice comment. Iโ€™ve been meaning to tell you. Mentioned the tonight show thing to my daughter. (20). Showed her how you really sounded in bicycle to Somalia. She immediately downloaded it and put it on her playlist. Her friend heard it and put it in hers. Then my youngest (17) heard it and put it on hers. Your songs are very popular ! I confess that still have a soft spot for the albino and the transvestite, even though itโ€™s an oldie ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @sapient  Feb 5

Thank you for your thoughts on โ€œChampagne & Carmenere.โ€ Youโ€™re right - I think some warm clarinet tones would flesh out the arrangement very nicely. Thank you for the suggestion!

  • @mikeskliar  Feb 1

  • @carleybaer  Jan 29

    Hi there! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @andrewjtaylor  Jan 26

Hey Michael! Just 1 week till FAWM!

With all the turmoil since last FAWM, & especially since November, it's hard to feel quite as amped up about it.

"Unnecessary creation" just feels a little less necessary than usual.

But...the artists (music & video creators, especially) are arguably the most influential modern-day philosophers, & every minute/hour/day/week/month/year we spend honing our craft is a minute/hour/day/week/month/year invested in contribution to culture, no matter how small our circle of influence.

Hope you have a great Feb./FAWM, no matter how you spend it.

  • @tamsnumber4  Jan 21

Happy FAWMing Michael, I am looking forward to hearing your creations!!

  • @mikeb Jan 18

Hi Mike, looking forward to hearing your FAWM 2021 songs!
