Thanks for your perspective on “I Want To.” Really cool and so appreciated.
Love what I heard! You've really done well in your first FAWM - welcome! 😀
Thank you so much for your insightful comment on my song Bullied. I like the idea of my track "casting a wider net" - being used in different contexts besides scenes on the effects of bullying. I think it might also be suited for a scene without sound, camera panning over the landscape of devastation left at the end of a battle.
The scene in my head, when I wrote Bullied, was of a middle-school girl hiding in a bathroom stall. She's crouched on the toilet seat so no one can tell she's in there. She waits for the school bell to ring marking the start of classes. The bell means the halls will be clear and safe for her to go to class. She'll be late again, but much better than being caught and tormented by her bullies.
Thank you! I saw the he also did the music for Ladybird. He is a fantastic musician, thanks for introducing me to his music! And I love Fiona Apple!
Just letting you know that if you tag me here, I won't get a notification and it's only by coincidence that I found your message. I think you would have to write on my "wall" so I get notified!
@jessi14 Quick note: Jon Brion is a multi-instrumentalist, known for producing artists like Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple and Kanye West, scoring films such as Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Punch Drunk Love and Magnolia. On the soundtrack for I (heart) Huckabees you can hear his instrumental tracks alongside his (existential) singer-songwriter songs.
I enjoyed listening to your song! How is Jon Brion? Will check him out... Hope you are feeling better! Happy FAWMing!
Starting off Feb with a nasty cold. Looking forward to how it will shape my songs - single note melodies accompanied by sniffs and the occasional cough.
Welcome and happy FAWMing. 😀
Welcome to FAWM!! I can't wait to hear what you come up with!!
