Thanks for the links, Matt. Do you mind if I also send them to a friend of mine who I think will also dig what you are into?

  • @gnashattack  Feb 27

    @mattwdunn I say go for THREE. 😀

  • @berni1954  Feb 26

Thansl for the reply. I'll check them out after FAWM.

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 26

Well, there's something more than that going on in my ears! Sounds massive.

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 25

Haha, yeah! I can hear it now too! A very amateur JDB riffing on Holy Bible

  • @gnashattack  Feb 25

Thanks for the feedback on "You, The Screamer." My boy has gone to bed on his own without significant attachment to me for the last few nights, so maybe I'll write a song called, "Thank Effing GAWD I'm Getting My Body Back Stop Touching Me." Just kidding. Maybe...?

It’s the same patch I’ve used in all the other heavy guitars during FAWM. I run my Line 6 PodGO straight into the interface. It’s a patch I created, but it’s really close to the “FLUFF’DUNDER” preset from the factory. I used it a a template. From there I just use a compressor for heavy guitars in Logic, pan the 35 L 35 R. I used my Hagstrom Fantomen (Ghost guitar) in D standard tuning, I’ve used the Slash LP on almost everything else.

  • @blainev83  Feb 24

That’s high praise! I’ll take it!

  • @blainev83  Feb 24

Nice! That’s awesome! My kids love Ghost also. Jack’s favorite song is Cirice, because it has kids in the music video.

  • @blainev83  Feb 24

Thanks man! Was hoping someone would understand what the hell I was going for with Ghost thing. Even cooler that it was you! Now I have to decide if I’m going to call it a wrap at 14. I think I’ve still got a little left in the tank. I don’t know how you churn quality stuff out on the daily. That’s a next level talent.

Welcome to the FAWM Family, Matt 😀
Lots of fun, inspiration and collabs to dive into here.
You have an impressive body of work.
Looks like you've nailed your 1st FAWM already!

  • @brisk  Feb 22

I really like FAWM - I've done it a few years now and its lovely when you see the same people coming back year after year. It has a kind of music festival vibe. But without the inconvenience and dampness. I just like hearing all these great songs.

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 21

Thanks! Yeah, I managed to develop an Amplitube template that with some EQ etc, really works with what I'm writing at the moment. Trying to record more with the amp, but that's not always possible with family!

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 21

Thanks! SSD5 has a setting that's literally Bonham, haha. Doesn't take much tweaking. I tried liking Ghost but man, I dunno - I just can't get into them.

  • @blainev83  Feb 21

That’s crazy! What are the odds? Well, I mean it’s a mass production guitar, so pretty good I guess. Lol. The burst and the flame on it are even pretty close to mine. Mine is also my #1 at the moment.

  • @blainev83  Feb 21

    Absolutely! And likewise.

Side note- Is that a Slash Gibson LP in the November burst finish on your SoundCloud pic? If it is...I have the exact same guitar 😳

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 20

You're shitting me! Haha! I have an off-white Les Paul copy I bought about a decade ago for a bargain - don't use it much now, Billy Corgan and the Big Muff dragged me over to the Fender sound... it is the Les Paul copy on that first track you commented on though.

I do however have a signed copy of JDB's latest album, a signed tour promo from the early 2000s (courtesy of their producer at the time, who now lives in NZ) and a Holy Bible picture disc (sadly not signed).

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 20

Yes! My guitar skills have always been rudimentary, so I've never been able to get a real Manics sound in my own music - but I've been checking out yours, and you're about 95 percent closer than I am, lol.

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 20

Oh shit - I also just saw you not only have the greatest band of all-time in your list, but you're from the same country 😝

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 20

Cheers boss! I like the sound of your influences, so might check some of yours out 😀

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 19

If you need any bass adding to track, let me know

  • @daveyboy103  Feb 19

I love your stuff man, keep it up

  • @blainev83  Feb 14

Thanks for the kind words on my tunes! Enjoying yours as well.

  • @avidfanman  Feb 13

Ah yes, I had a previous version of EZdrummer many years ago - sounds cool!

These days I mostly use the inbuilt drummers in Logic / GarageBand - I find they sound very natural and easy to adjust 🤟🏻

  • @avidfanman  Feb 13

Cheers for the kind words on “Lost” - looking forward to checking out yer stuff 🤟🏻

  • @berni1954  Feb 9

Will check you out on Spotify. I avoid Apple Music like the plague.

  • @berni1954  Feb 9

I am so impressed with all your stuff and I must get my hand on EzDrummer. I am usually hopeless at programming drums and they're such a vital part of rock songs, so if that program makes coming up with those clean sounding rhythms easier, I'll be on a roll!.
