Lots of work and hassle with releasing my album, also birthdays, and work. I have a week off work from 18th and will really try to do some fawming there - working on ideas from/with/for @leepat @fearlessflight2014 @jonmeta @balancelost aswell as some of my own stuff.
Not making any promises but i'll TRY!!!
Feb 1st 2019
Back once again! Just released a new album, of which I'm very proud. Now I'm totally knackered and burnt out. What's new?
Looking to rediscover some of the joy of writing and recording this FAWM. Will co-write with some of my guitar pupils and open to collabs, especially with some of my FAWM heroes and heroines but I'm feeling a bit itchy and twitchy and don't know how dependable I'll be.
I turn 50 this FAWM maybe I should just quit while I'm ahead.
Guitar teacher by day (and night). Spent 30 years writing and playing everything from Hair Metal to Iranian Bagpipe music. Wrote 5 songs a year on average. Joined FAWM in 2011 and have written over 200 songs since.

Here's what I'm doing now http://www.mattblick.com/now
Anáis is such a stunning writer. So glad you love that album too.
Got it! Excellent start. Let's see where it goes...
No pressure. If it's no fun, we better find something that is.
Okey doke. I emailed you a Dropbox link for a random bunch of bass ‘bits’. Use what you want. Add to it and I can add bass later. Mostly vaguely related to Am and all at 105bpm.
Ah, no I can't.
I wrote a song with your bus company kid alias. I hope that’s alright. It just showed up at the door yesterday evening and begged to be let in. I thought it was only fair to give you a collab. It’s only three chords and three verses so you could always add a chorus if you have nothing better to do... ha!
Hey, I sent you an email.
Yo dude - the more less there is the more I'll think more of you. And I already think quite a bit of you. Congrats on getting the album released. And on turning 50 (I'm 52, you are catching up to me). Enjoy your FAWM at whatever pace you take it.
You astound me. Wilfrieda Beehive is a bus company? Your daughter must be eternally grateful.
I was thinking of a Biblical name if it's a boy: "Og". Needless to say, that didn't fly.
She proposed "Mafalda" for a girl. Seriously. (Her aunt's name, who was a runway model in NY and therefore to be looked up to, as it were.)
I nixed that because to me, Mafalda is a cartoon character from Argentina.
But considering where we are, I'd say Wilfrieda Beehive sounds like the title of a song in a B-52s style.
Yeah let's do it. I nominate G for gnome. Can we use wordpad please? I'm old school.
U got M
Oh aye, we've done Revolver, Sgt P and White album (including Rev 9 of course!) now and it's been immense. Cannot WAIT to do Abbey Road! Watched a couple of those vids, interesting stuff! Some weird and wonderful interpretations there
Ha! Thanks for stopping by; looking forward to hearing you this year as well!!
Nice to you see you to! Looking forward to hearing stuff from you as well!!
Crispy and hot!
Sup Matt! Got more stuff coming. Working on a full band Motown thing right now. Good luck dude!
come on, pass the cheesecake and let's get cracking! you gave me an idea for a title too - I can send you some words to improve on soon, if you like
Sounds fun! I’ll muck around today and that will hopefully produce something that will determine the tempo and time signature. I’ll send you at least 3 or 4 bits and you use what you want and send me something back.
Or you could send me any of the below?
What do you have hankering for? A bass groove? A handful of lyrics? I’m not much of a chord player but I could try...
Wanna try and collaborate on something?
It's good that you're back! With your album ready and no facebook presence you must have some free time left this time...
Hi man, have a great fawm.
