2019: The Motown Chronicles continue! My goal was to find a top 100 Motown hits of all time list, and reverse engineer all the songs. I'm only taking the the rhythm, tempo, my version of the drum pattern, and sometimes the theme. The melodies, lyrics, and music are all mine. Volume one is available for download. Came out great! Gonna work on demos for Volume 2 here. There's a Marvin Gaye/Kim Weston duet in this round, inspired by the song "It Takes Two", so I'm looking for a colab! Hit me up if you're down. Don't make me come find you!!

That's OK Laree - me too. I was thinking of something completely outside of fawm/5090 - no deadline, just done when it's done, but it's fine if you don't have the time (and of course you might not like the material any way!)
Ok, so I'm going to have to hear each one of these. A little re-construction of that old Retro Soul feeling that seems to have gotten lost in the Music Industry today. If Anyone can do it... you're the man. Russ 😀
I stay 90% of the time on my neck pickup too! 😀
I WISH I could play like Morello! 😀
Still impressive that would take me a week or more ha. So you wanna rock some guitar and throw it my way and I can throw some drums on it?
Yeah! I'd love that!
Thanks for the comment on 'Fawmic Acid'. Your Fat Boy Slim reference fits the time that kind of high resonance filter trick I used was common.
FYI every time I look at the Sisko pic on my FAWM wall I imagine him saying "Hay girl, good luck" in the Sisko-voice.
Yo, so...I was thinking after all these years we’ve never collaborated on something! You interested?
I'll get this in early - would you be up for doing vocals for a recording project post FAWM? maybe an EP or single? I've got a few tracks that I think would really suit your voice and definitely DON'T suit my voice!
Here's a couple of things I've done in the past to give you a rough idea https://mattblick.bandcamp.com/track/...
You should check out their 1993 - 1996 output. they made nice jazzy/soulful stuff around that era! Also checkout their Please Mr. Lostman album, despite being a rock album, half of the album was made during 1992 - 1996, still some soulful stuff to be found there!!
Nice influences! Looking forward to hearing stuff from you!!
Laree - looking forward to hearing your stuff!
Hiya Laree. The Motown Chronicles sounds like a great project !
The Sisko from the Cisco! May the Prophets also bless your FAWM.
Have a great FAWM!
Equipment: slightly sore but otherwise magnificent vocals chords, mind full of movie quotes, and extensive knowledge of The Chronicles of Narnia. Oh, and a pen.
Have a great FAWM Laree!
Hey there Laree! Always a big fan of your music and your album covers are the absolute best...'I Was Made to Love Her' is one of my faves too...3 chords of relentlessness. Good luck w/ Motown vol.2!
There you are! Can't wait to hear your new songs!
Hello, thanks for coming to say hello, have a good fawm.
Happy FAWMing. Looking forward to hearing your stuff this year! 😀
Thanks for stopping by...
Look forward to awesomeness from You!
Hey there! Yeah, I got a license too. I figured that they put a lot into it, so $60 isnt much for how much I use it. What are you thinking that your plan will be this year? Any ideas or goals about sounds and styles? Obviously your voice and words will be rather important.
Hey Laree! Happy FAWM to you!
Heya! Great to great from you, and thanks for the note. I hope you have a great time!
Sounds like a fun and very sweaty show! Nice to meet you and happy FAWMing!!
I have a very vivid imagination, so I picture pretty much anything that can be described, therefore, I do not find your squirrel scenario strange at all! ha ha! Enjoy your FAWM this year!
My ears are ready for you my friend....
Thanks Laree, looking forward to hearing your songs this year!
Hey Laree! Here's to us all!
thanks, and welcome back!!! have a great Feb!
Thanks, you too! Jeez, look at all the details on your page. I'd better put *something* up on mine.
My man, my man...so good to hear from you! It looks like you're more than ready for some FAWM 2019 action. Let's get it in! That's what's up!
Hey Laree! Happy FAWM 2019!
It's gonna be a tip top Laree kind of FAWM. Because it always is. Let's go!
So nice to see you again!
