I’m happy to be Fawming again after a couple of years’ absence. I love helpful criticism and suggestions on my songs if you’ve got ideas. Also, if you want to collaborate on new stuff or add instrumentation or vocals to my songs, please let me know.

Awesome... Gave it another listen with the lyrics and it really has a cool story! And your phrasing of those words is great. Everything fits together so well. Nothing about that song is 'normal' and I mean that in the best possible way.
It really is hard seeing your parents get older. My dad definitely is having a harder time with mobility and had fallen a lot in the last year which is very scary. FAWM really gives him a big boost each year. It's a huge positive, and that makes it really special.
Thank you for sharing about your parents. Bottom line, no matter how things go at the end is that is is wonderful when people have had good relationships with their parents. That isn't always the case. ❤️
Thanks for checking out one of the songs I did with my dad. Such a melancholy song... Half the instrumentation was my pianorgan (wind organ) so that's easy to play, and sounds kind of like an accordion. But for the actual accordion, I pulled it out as far as i could and just recorded until the wind ran out. Each one of those was recorded separately, then I blended them all together in my DAW. Not being able to see the keys makes it very very hard to play and I can't get the hang of moving the bellows back and forth. It works for what I need, lol. Heading over to check out the song with my brother! 😀
Yup same story here, except that I can’t work on music at work. This song is so cool. I’m about to post it. Just a final check
Well thank you.....I’m working to get a good mix. Nice to have time to do that, rather than obsessing about recording my next song. How old are your kids? Mine are sleeping and are 6 years and 10 months. This is my time after bedtime
Well, I’m finishing up the mix tonight, so do you want me to send you an mp3 for checking or do you want me to put it up?
That’s screaming? That’s singing. Love it.
Good god that’s cool! I always misread where vocal tracks go, just so you know. Give me an mp3 of the whole track with your vocals so I do it right. This reminds me of so many things.....from Jeff Buckley to Lenny Kravitz, both of which I really love. So cool, man. I was serious when I said that I love your voice and style. You use your voice in many ways.
I just got them, so I am going to put them into the mix....I can't wait to hear them! It kind of lends itself to the sing/scream.....
Yes that would be fine! I typically use wetransfer to send and receive files, as it is so simple and free.
Thanks for the comments man! For sure, it’s all about a dark fuzzy costume, with beautiful moth wings... whatever it takes to inspire fear in the criminal element!!! THANK YOU for listening 😉
I am glad those dogs are OK! I knew you would save them!!
Oh most certainly! That would be cool if you did something on that song!
Thank you for your comment on Remembering Lorax.
So glad you enjoyed the groove and vocal play on Can I Get to You!
Thanks for sticking around post FAWM (my favorite time to catch up on listening and collecting playlists) and congrats on your output of new material!
Your whistling song was unique!!
Thank you for stopping by to listen!! The melody is actually derived from a fragment of ancient Greek music. However (apparently, I'm no expert) there is much debate about microtuning. So, although we have the notation, we're not quite sure exactly what it sounded like.
Thank you for your comment on Halloween Party! It will be a ton of fun to animate, lots of great visuals for sure!
I'm loving that so many fathers can relate to "She Was Gone", wherever they are in the journey.
Love to hear yours, now, and when it's finished. Shoot me an email or just holler on my soundboard.
Ha! Thanks for your comment on "Black Sweatshirt." I'm flattered.
Thank you for your kind comment on "The Hidden Track." I hope to have a demo for it up in the next week. Cheers!
Thanks for the great insights on your comments. They have a maturity about them that suggests someone who has lived life and lived music. (Ie the genre bending nature of my stuff and the blues story structure I used in easy shed blues, etc). I think I read somewhere and I apologize if I’m getting this wrong but you put aside music for big stretch of time and are getting into it now more than ever? Well keep doing what you are doing with music ! It’s good stuff and you haven’t missed anything. You are at the perfect time and place right now for your voice to be heard. You weren’t ready then in the same capacity you are now. Whatever challenge you are facing I guarantee I can google for five minutes and find people who have overcome more with less. So do your thing NOW and get it all out there. The world needs it ☝🏽
...by the way, I am definitely going to be coming back to listen to more - Can't wait to hear it. Congrats on the win!!
That was awesome... So cool to listen to and really inventive in both your vocals and the theme. Loved it! 😀
I have been at work so have not had time to listen or comment until now... and now I am almost speechless as my breath is taken away by the absolutely beautiful music you created. It almost feels like that this was not random at all but meant to be! You have not only captured the essence of the words so perfectly, you have taken it to a whole other level that stimulates thought and evokes feeling. I am honored, humbled, and grateful for your gift of music! A thousand thanks!
Scabs from the past... i know what u mean.. by the way i feel better now, and its amazing, i got 3 new songs and on each of them i wrote a bit more feom my emotions, and i really feel i got great results, and along with my improvement in songwriting, i feel that i needed this extension of writing from my emotions, so u do deserve the credit cause i was losing fawm to emotions, but then i flipped it into writing my own emotions. Great to see youve finished 15 songs!
Hey there! Thanks for checking out "Snow" and leaving such a nice comment. Not offended in the least - I wrote it totally intending to sound like 90's alt-grunge rock so I'm glad you got that feel from it! 😀
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts on my song "Give Me Your Eyes."
I don't often know what to think of Sufjan Stevens, but nonetheless, that's high praise. 😀
I find that my music goes from gentle introspection to bright shiny lovesong. 😀
I'm always open to constructive criticism. 😀
Thanks for the comment on Máni - he loved the song, so the birthday present reached its objective!
Some of my family were having goat farms, whence my precision (and enjoyment) in replicating goat screaming, I suppose!
Thanks for your comment on "Doing Time"
And thanks for your support for our efforts to at least have a legally binding referendum on the issue of Catalan self-determination. 👏👏👏
Thanks! I won’t worry! You face looks trustworthy😉
I just saw you left some messages on my soundboard. So.. Yeah, I'm happy I quit, it's a big struggle but hopefully things will turn out for the best. Secondly - I think it's never too late, there is a book by Julia Cameron called "its never too late to begin again", I didn't read it, but I read other books of hers, and she revives some blpocks we have as artists, If you think about doing a comeback check her stuff out. About your song - I think it's great even without bass but you asked on the liner notes so I said what I thought, I bought a very cheap bass a few months ago, it's fender squire, and it costed me around 300 dollars. But even before, I was using my keyboards bass and sometimes it was even better than my real bass, but sometimes it sucked so I can understand you. Anyway it's nice to know you man, what do you do in the fake life outside of fawm? (because fawm is the real life haha)..
Thanks man, as they say, it's better late than never haha! I forgot you inspired me already, yeah that forum thread.. I felt discouraged to make music, this helped me continue my fawm and if I'll finish you probably helped me to get to the finish line cause I was stuck like a fish in a fishermen trap.
You're welcome, man. You made my day by gifting me a top notch song to enjoy!
Hi I sent you an email.
Your music is so wonderful! I have to write you some spectacular lyrics that hopefully merit your music!
Hi! I’m happy to write lyrics for you later today! Do you have a theme or genre you would particularly like or like me to avoid? I will listen to your music after work - I’m embarrassed that I haven’t already! I look forward to this!
Yes I agree been a bit fucked up makes us all human and “beautiful”. I think I mainly wrote it in relation to millennials and bloomers but I suppose it could apply more widely. Also you’re right about gen z, there’s definitely progress in terms of protecting our environment 😀
Thanks for your comment on Dead Man’s Coffee! Liking the Kurt Weill reference!
Thanks so much for listening and for your kind comment on my side! I’ve been off to a slow start this year but I am trying to pick things up a bit and look forward to listening to your new music.
Thanks for your comment! Great stuff you got here.
I appreciate your thoughts on my tune Dance Contest Against My Mirror Self! Incidentally, I am always all about putting moments of yelling in my songs. I just feel like it really brings people together
Thank you for the compliment on My Slippers.
Devious slippers? ...there could be could be could be a song there.
Hi Leo, nice to meet you here.Listening now to Drosera.
Nah we're gonna leave it. Thanks for your ear though.
Thank you for reading and your kind thoughts. Much appreciated.
Hey, thanks for commenting on Convict Stage. Aye, the humming was the key to the whole thing. Had great fun doing it.
Thanks for your supportive comments. Glad you like the lyrics and hope you like the song now that I have loaded it. I agree with your assessment it is best to go for bold and not get caught in the seductive trap of wallowing!
Yup - Cretan Labyrinth was exactly what I was thinking! Thanks for the listen.
sure- would love to hear it- if it seems to fit, I'll see if i can add to the recording! thanks!
Thanks for the listen to my latest.
I love the Punch Brothers - that was such a cool little bass break.
Will have to look up the back story to that song.
Thanks SO much for posting ‘Haunted by Hindsight’ in the recommended songs thread. I’m so glad my morning skirmish blah had something in it that worked for you!! 😁 I really should get a better demo up, but catching up on songwriting feels more important now, I’ve almost get through song 2 which I’ve been stuck on since I got the idea on day 1.
I enjoyed listening to your song "Disconnect". Haven't listened to Ane Brun in ages, but she's awesome! Thanks for reminding me! Happy FAWMing!
I might host a FAWM over listening party at my house in March. Let me know if you are interested
