Artist Bio

Influences:   Folk and rock singer-songwriters, punk/alternative, anti-folk, indie folk & pop, and a little bit of everything. My favorite songwriter is Frank Turner.

Hi FAWMers! I'm a very active and ambitious acoustic singer-songwriter (can't wait to play live again and go on tour!). My style in the past has ranged from quirky acoustic anti-folk or folk pop to acoustic punk. I'm somewhat open to other genres but mostly in the pop, rock, or folk vein.

Last year I completed both FAWM and 50/90 for the first time, so I'm hoping to do the same again while improving my skills.

Last year I released a 7-song album called "Better" consisting of 6 FAWM songs, and then a quarantine-themed EP called "March On" that was all 50/90 songs. I intend to do 2-4 releases this year. All my music links are on my website.

I'm open to most collaborations, but I prefer people who are serious, experienced, and legally registered as professional songwriters, that way we can actually try to achieve something with the song later. I'm particularly interested in collaborating with producers, and people who make tracks which I can then topline (sing my own melody and lyrics) over. If you think it could be a good fit and you like my style/influences, feel free to get in touch!

-Note: I do like to comment back whenever possible, but I'm probably mostly going to be catching up in March. Atm I'm behind where I want to be on writing and recording so I just don't have time to listen, sorry!

Hey hey. Will check out your tunes in the morning.

  • @ianuarius  Feb 16

Hey! I sent you an email with the collab backing track. Sorry for taking this long!

  • @bradbrubaker  Feb 15

Hello! We were assigned for a Random Collab. How do you like to work? In the past it has worked easiest for me to receive the music and write the lyrics/melody to that.

I read your profile and it said, "My style in the past has ranged from quirky acoustic anti-folk or folk pop to acoustic punk." As for me, my lyrics tend to be personal with a sarcastic and/or witty bent.

Enjoyed the bit of your livestream I watched... had to do some other stuff and the kids are now coming home from school πŸ˜€

  • @audrey  Feb 10

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my song "Choir's Back!" and for your comment. Appreciate it.

  • @emilybrookeward Feb 10

I think you will definitely have plenty of opportunity for a band in the future. Keep writing and sharing your music until that time comes! πŸ™‚

  • @ayehahmur  Feb 8

Hey, thanks for the comment and for the recommendation of the Sad Song Co. I'll note that down for post-FAWM relaxation.

  • @infilktion Feb 8

Thank you for the wonderful comments on True Lies for Pattern. I am happy to have achieved a dark ukulele song! Your feedback made my night!

  • @apauls Feb 7

Hi there, collab buddy! This is my first collaboration on the "Random Collaboration" forum, so I'm still learning the ropes. I find that I write lyrics best with some music to work with, but I'm happy to try putting together some lyrics first if you'd prefer. Let me know! If there's another way you'd prefer to communicate, let me know.

Thank you for comments on "It Was a Test" and for sharing your experience. That's nuts, who does that? This is actually about my mom (and a little about one of my sisters).

  • @jorh  Feb 5

Thank you I’m so glad you thought I captured the style I was going for well πŸ˜€ I think i maybe did make it a little bit cheesy haha but everyone loves cheese right πŸ˜‚

  • @emkaydeebee  Feb 5

Hey, thanks for listening to my version of the Yeah Yeah Yeah. It's a great way of connecting with others isn't it? 😊

  • @metalfoot  Feb 4

Royal Society of Chemistry website is my main go-to for the Periodic Table songs 😁 Thanks for listening!

  • @ianuarius  Feb 3

Hey, sounds good! I'll email you a backing track, hopefully in a day or two. Maybe electronic? or something poppy

  • @gslade Feb 3

What's up Amanda! Glad you're back again!

  • @ianuarius  Feb 2

Hey, great sound! So you play acoustic guitar. I could do some piano maybe ooh or some cute synth sounds. Are you by chance in the fawm slack?

  • @sph  Feb 1

Hi there, we're paired together for the random collab. If you got lyrics for me I try not to use too many major seventh πŸ˜‰

  • @audrey  Jan 30

Hi. If you never finished writing and recording your a cappella song, I don't see why you couldn't do it this FAWM, that is if you wanted to. I guess it depends on how easy song ideas flow for you. Hope you have a great FAWM. πŸ˜€

  • @andygetch  Jan 30

    Hey Amanda!

  • @sailingmagpie  Jan 30

Cool that you like Frank Turner. He's a friend of a friend. I've met him a few times. He's a nice guy.

  • @standup  Jan 30

Because of our last collab I feel like I know you slightly. If you feel like doing another one, let me know. I find production fun, so willing to take on some/most of that.

  • @jorh  Jan 30

Glad to see you back looking forward to listening once again! Was fun collabing last year πŸ˜€ good luck!

  • @metalfoot  Jan 29
