I realized that the time that I spend setting everything up to record made it more difficult to finish songs! So I came back to my mobile set up for the rest of the month (I hope)

Hello! Stopped by to listen as I saw you’ve entered SpinTunes. Your songs are so cool! Can’t wait to hear what you do for the comp!

  • @miga  Mar 11

thanks for your comment on Followed Down! I agree that sometimes it's good to talk about the things most people keep quiet about. By the way congrats on 14 songs! Woot woot! Felicitaciones!

  • @nadine Mar 2

Thank you so much for your nice comments - And congrats!
Yeah, we had a different approach.
I do not feel like producing electronic music these days, otherwise my perfect "I hate it"-challenge would be commercialised EDM bigroom stuff with trap hihats and massive drops. Yes, that's the reason why I'm leaving this kind of music for a while.

@laotranati Thank you so much for the appreciation and kind comment on 'Sublime' 😀

  • @willow1 Mar 2

It’s been such a pleasure, y graçias for your response to El mejor de esto, it was so fun to write in a Spanish, but I embarked on it blindly, and it makes me happy to know you approve de mis letras! I love how we both got experimental with our kids and recording/ including them, I feel that will impact them with such musical creative energy and their memories. Bravo, amiga!

    14!!!!! Lo lograste!!!

  • @quork  Feb 27

Congratulations on winning FAWM, you! You are a superstar. Work has been crazy busy, but when things settle down I’ll listen to your new songs.

  • @psyt Feb 25

At the 3:04 minute mark the percussion that is introduced (for 8 bars, before taking a break for another 8, then returning for another 8) is heavily reverbed boot stomps. I assume those were the ones you meant? Because other than that, the only percussions that are introduced later in the song is more cymbals, and an assortment of cowbells.
    Thanks for the comment. 😀

Thank you so much for the kind comments and appreciation on 'Forever' 😀

  • @willow1 Feb 25

Mam is seriously such a cool moment!

  • @berni1954  Feb 24

Glad you liked my "The Strangers" - actually you are spot on the money. The cittern was actually a medieval instrument which gave birth of a whole series of other stringed instruments like the mandolin and even (some argue) the guitar. The modern cittern owes a lot to Octave Mandolas and Irish Bouzoukis.

  • @miga  Feb 24

    thanks for listening!

  • @willow1 Feb 22

Ok, upon your suggestion I wrote out the lyrics for the straw! 😊

thanks for your comments on "Keep it to Yourself". And yes, it really is about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. And my husband's sweet tooth, although I can see that the song wouldn't make sense if you didn't know the candy well 😉 And the movie Princess Bride (ji ji ji ji) Thanks for listening!

  • @miga  Feb 17

well, I used lyrics and ideas that were never songs before...but I think the point is to finish songs, even if you started them before, so it's probably ok 😉

  • @estebanlartigue  Feb 17

totally!!!! empece a colaborar con alguien aqui en una cancion y la verdad esta divertido pero a lo mejor no es super productivo 😁

a lo mejor ya despues asi despacio con mas tiempo sin presiones 😁 LD

  • @quork  Feb 17

Thank you for your great comment. That stripped down, singer songwriter genre is more in my comfort zone, but I've been pushing myself into dance territory this FAWM. Which has been fun, but I sure love the guitar/mandolin/mouth harp stuff. 😀

  • @persaab Feb 15

    Thank you for your comment.

  • @cblack Feb 15

Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed Monkey. 😁

  • @miga  Feb 14

glad you enjoyed the harmonies on Gone (Sparks) - my favorite part. Thanks for listening!

  • @estebanlartigue  Feb 13

  • @quork  Feb 13

Work has been silly busy, but I did manage to record a minute of music for the exquisite corpse, so that will be fun when all the parts get stitched together. Hopefully get a couple of songs up this weekend. Good to see you creating.

  • @estebanlartigue  Feb 11

@laotranati thank you for your comments on my songs !

  • @mattwdunn Feb 10

Thank you for the kind words.

  • @pifie Feb 7

  • @rshakesp  Feb 6

I did the whole of 2020 Fawm traveling for work - all recordings were done with a phone and a travel guitar - it’s sometimes nothing to do with the production. Hope you get posting soon👍

  • @elesimo  Feb 3

Hi, there! Thank you for your comment on my OP-Z song! If you have any questions let me know, I'd be happy to help!

  • @quork  Feb 3

Thank you for your comment! I hope you're figuring out how to FAWM with your mobile rig. Happy creating.

  • @princesssavania Feb 1

You compared my chorus to Alanis Morissette and that really made my day!! Thank you!!

  • @quork  Jan 22

That sounds reasonable. Happy travels, and good luck.

  • @andygetch  Jan 22

Hello and I am looking forward to hearing your music!

  • @quork  Jan 21

I'm not sure what your mobile situation is, but I'd be interested in considering a collab, if that is something you'd be interested in. At the very least replace my crappy voice with yours. I'd also be interested in seeing working with your Minilab, etc. If this is something you'd be interested in exploring, let me know, along with your thoughts about what a collab could look like.

  • @wrenarcher  Jan 21

I have a MiniLab MK2 as well. But have no idea what I’m doing with it. Hoping I can learn enough to be able to use it by the time the 1st rolls around.

Good luck with your mobile recording. Hope you have a productive FAWM!

  • @quork  Jan 21

I’m also curious to see how you work in the mini lab.

  • @quork  Jan 20

Happy fawming to you. Hopefully this is the year you break through.
