Sweet, oldtyme roots artist Kim Beggs, with “A voice as cool and as refreshing as the Yukon River, delivers songwriting of the highest order” says Maverick Magazine (UK).

FAWM is a great inspiration for me because it helps me to LET GO - due the pressure of having to write that many songs in a short period of time. Trying out less familiar chord progressions while striving to create interesting and desirable melodies around them, is a great way for me to grow artistically and diversify musically.

I am at home in Whitehorse this time!

Thanks for your nice comments on my lyrics. I never know what I'm going to write about really...just start with a seed of an idea, but please let me know if something I post "speaks to you".

thanks for that suggestion to skip the first verse of 'weeping willow tree'- i think you're right! (and i want to rewrite the bridge slightly so i may re-record the vocal and address that at some point)

Re the suggestion on Sam Becketts blues. I'm pondering deeply. I like your suggestion of adding the problems of ancestors and descendents. I'm trying to work out how it fits with the perspective of Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap, because the song is told 1st person from his perspective.

Hi Kim: Thanks so much for offering to add harmonies to my welcome FAWMERS song, I'm so glad that you're here. I shared a google drive folder with you. The song is in lossless compressed flac format or wav. Feel free to add any harmonies, guitar, body percussion or ??? You can drop your tracks back here in the shared folder and I can mix. Thanks for the offer to join in.

Kim, many thanks for listening and commenting on my songs. Why am I not surprised that someone as creative as you has intense dreams. I appreciate your thoughts about Have a Nice Day. It was a burst of writing, recording and mixing. I’ll be sure to revisit it with your comments in mind.
