Second year Fawmer. Really looking to up my overall sound from last years minimalistic approach (just ukulele and voice). I was inspired by so many of you who opened my eyes to what could be done quickly and on your own.
My music is intended to lift you up like a good speech can.

Thank you for your comment on Winter Light Festival. I sent them a copy, but I suspect they've gone into hibernation after another excellent festival completed successfully. 😀

    Hi Keith,

Sorry I wasnt able to get together to collab. I went out of town for a week by the time round 3 got finally started. 😞

  • @jwhanberry  Mar 3

  • @darcistrutt  Mar 3

    P.S. Thanks for your comment!

  • @darcistrutt  Mar 3

No extra strings, just the traditional four. It’s a Flea, the soprano from Fluke Company. I love the sound so it’s my favorite!

  • @leomozi  Mar 2

Thanks so much for your comments and encouragement on my soundboard. You are right that I largely put music aside for a long time. I’ve had a couple of dry spells musically (including almost my entire twenties). I will try to think of it the way you expressed, that I’m more ready for music now rather than beating myself up for putting it aside before mortgages and kids.

  • @coolparadiso  Mar 2

keith tell the person you are album sharing. if you and they have 14 review each song with comments and an overall comment. if either of you have less than 14 do that many unless specified if they have more than 14 choose any (i for example prefer my 14 marked as favourites. thats the idea like for like but as an album.

  • @leomozi  Mar 2

    Ugh, sorry for the typos.

  • @leomozi  Mar 2

I’m loving the relentless positivity in your lyrics. And I put it that way because it’s not a rose-tinted glass positivity; it’s a deliberate positivity that battles against difficulties and recognized setbacks but doesn’t get crushed by them. Your sound is great and genre-bending, too. And thanks for motivating all of us with those skirmishes!

  • @wobbiewobbit  Mar 1

bit late adding you to my watchlist but i have really enjoyed your songs this year so all set up for next year... i still have more of yours to listen to later...

  • @ryako  Mar 1

Hey, thanks for listening to my entire story on FAWM! Hope you enjoyed listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

  • @berni1954  Feb 28

LOL I had missed the whole Easy Shed thread.

  • @majordanby  Feb 28

Thanks for all your listens and comments. The last two were a little rushed and completely different to Dan’s style. My songs are less direct, I like your reading of This Computers Not Ok, there is defininatrly a lot of news and current affairs going on. We Can’t Work It Out was a writing experiment having watched a documentary called Flat Pack Pop: Sweden’s Music Miricle, which describes the blueprint of all pop. Worth a watch if you can find it online.

It’s about: “Today, the most successful of Denniz Pop’s motley band of followers is his protégé Max Martin. Max is famously modest about his mixing desk wizardry – but he is responsible for some of the most potent melodies of our time, standing third only to John Lennon and Paul McCartney when it comes to racking up US No 1 hits”.

Thanks Keith for your comments on Can I Get to You! Right?? I hear you on the muses moving on. I've had this come up in conversation with other song folk. We are a strange brew ain't we...

  • @majordanby  Feb 23

Congratulations, 18 songs, I’ve got some listening to do.

Thank you for your kind comment!

  • @ayehahmur  Feb 22

Hi Keith - thanks so much for commenting on Seaford. I'm sure Seaford NY is a lovely place, but this Seaford was on the south coast of England which, my memory of the 1980s tells me, was a/ a long way away for a Scottish teenager and b/ not particularly lovely. It's probably a lot nicer now though. 😀

  • @candle  Feb 22

Thank you so much for your comment on my 210 BPM song. It was a fun challenge & I'm glad @sapient was a good sport about the whole thing.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @haim  Feb 18

Hi Keith. Thanks I'll check it soon. About the collab - I would love to but I don't have enough time right now, I'm way behind with my song number and my life is a bit stressing. But I'll try to write and upload some songs this week and might contact you later this month is that alright? I would love to collab if it will be possible for both of us, but now I'm over my head.

  • @sph  Feb 18

Sure, but you could also collaborate outside of the random game.

  • @berni1954  Feb 2019

    Hi Keith,
Glad you gave my "1564" a listen. I haven't done that live a lot because living in Catalonia, most of my audience don't understand English and that song has its subtleties that require a native command of the language. The ones I do live here have to rock so that the audience gets something out of them whether they understand a word or not. Such as the stuff I do with our band
The Saturday Blues Project: oops that's our quieter album for bar gigs.

Here is the link to our more rock blues album

  • @tsunamidaily Feb 2019

i will get those lyrics to you as soon as they are finished!

  • @angelinapowersuit Feb 2019

THANK you for your comments on "Thought You Got a Good One!" That one was kind of a puzzle to put together, so glad it worked out!

  • @tjeff  Feb 2019

    Appreciate the comment, thx!

It’s so great to hear your work again. For the record I’m a big fan of your ukelele voice demos! Uplifting is the perfect way to describe your music.

  • @crisp1  Feb 2019

Thanks for your comments on the lyrics to Singer in This Bar!

  • @billwhite51 Feb 2019

The boll weevil is a beetle which feeds on cotton buds and flowers. Thought to be native to Central Mexico, it migrated into the United States from Mexico in the late 19th century and had infested all U.S. cotton-growing areas by the 1920s, devastating the industry and the people working in the American South

    the old boll weevil song

  • @zxcvbnm  Feb 2019

  • @majordanby  Feb 2019

  • @mkd  Feb 2019

Thank you for your comment on Empty Spaces! I’m pleased you think it melds well - was tough just using phone to record!
