Influences: Chely Wright. Stevie Nicks, Enya, Nora Jones
My name is Katrina Marie Trujillo-Lucero, and I am from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I created a FAWM profile to have fun. I am currently a teacher. I earned my bachelor's degree in Contemporary Music at the Santa Fe University of Art & Design and the University of New Mexico in December 2011. My hope is to incorporate all of my talent and skills into a full-time music career. In 2006, I wrote my first single "Can I Keep You Forever". I performed this single for the first time at The Lensic Performing Arts Center, and I received my first standing ovation and much recognition for my songwriting skills. I recently completed my fourth album which focuses on my acoustic guitar songs (I sing, song write, play guitar, and piano). I recorded, mixed and mastered all but one of my songs in a recording studio that I set up myself. I also play the bongos, tin whistle, marimba, gamelan, djembe, drums, congas, and various percussion instruments. I have performed at many local events, including the Santa Fe Bandstand, the Albuquerque Old Town Plaza, The Albuquerque Mariachi Spectacular as well as at many open mic nights, graduation ceremonies, churches, fiestas, talent shows, veteran's events, family events, homeless shelters and nursing homes. I enjoy performing and everything that involves music; however, I truly believe that my heart is set on songwriting and recording. Artists that have influenced me include: Stevie Nicks, Chely Wright, Enya, Norah Jones, Kaki King,Joseph Loduca, Hewy Lewis, Chopin, Eric Satie, Jennifer Batten, James Horner, Joseph Loduca, Steve Reich and Madonna.
