Artist Bio

Influences:   Jim Trick, Maeve, Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Imagine Dragons, Chris Tomlin, David Matthews, Phil Phillips, Oldies, Local Folk

I started playing guitar when I was 25 because I wanted to express my faith. It took over my creative juices and I wrote tons of songs. The fountain of music has slowed a bit - but I'm still writing at least a few each year. I am an artist (drawing, sculpture, taking pottery now).

Thanks for the comment on my latest rock opera song. Is the 'PusherMan' evil? No, I don't think so, depends on what you consider evil. He is offering people an 'out' from a humdrum or bad existence. Could be drugs, yoga, hypnotism or something else. It's up to the listener to decide. Stay tuned to the rock opera for what happens next!

thanks for your kind reflections on 'sweet man' -i wasn't quite sure where i was headed when i started singing -it was a 'one take (maybe not a wonder) the story unfolded in my mind's eye. I enjoy using songs to tell a story.

Thanks for your comment on Xanthippe! I'm fascinated by that period, when I got the Herstory prompt she was the first thing that came to mind

Thanks for listening to While the Creases Unfold. I thought about expanding it but wasn't sure what else I would say. Glad you enjoyed what little there is 😀

Thanks for the listen and comment on my song for Tammy's 'Famous Painting' challenge.

  • @quork  Feb 4

Thank you for your comment. My intent was to use the chord progression from Home on the Range and just change the melody. But the song took on a life of its own.
