I started playing guitar when I was 25 because I wanted to express my faith. It took over my creative juices and I wrote tons of songs. The fountain of music has slowed a bit - but I'm still writing at least a few each year. I am an artist (drawing, sculpture, taking pottery now). I teach Junior High Math.

Thanks for commenting on my collab song "Reach For The Stars", I appreciate the listen!
Congrats on your Trophy!!
I'm kind of late on the comments, but thanks for stopping by. I ended up doing one about the Mars rover too. (Elegy for a dying robot).
Thanks for your kind comment on "Going My Way" and congrats on 14! I just put up a clip with one of my musical ideas for it.
Woo hoo!!! Congrats on your win!
Thanks for coming back around to listen to several of my/our songs. Steve's a great lyricist. He lives 1.5-2 hours away. Planning on coming down to the Cape if the group I'm in takes off for the summer and my voice heals enough to be singing well by then.
On Never Lookin' Back, it's just movable E, one of my favorites. Just moving up the neck in an E shape, keeping the fingers together for the major chords and separating the pointer from the middle and ring for minor chords. The 1st and 6th E strings and the 2nd B string remain open. Provides for a bit of droning effect which makes for lovely tension when you've got a V chord (B) surrounded by E strings.
Pretty sure what you’re hearing regarding familiarity with “What Do You Say” is the chorus of James Bay’s “Let it Go.” I noticed the similarity early on and deemed it far enough away as to not constitute copyright infringement. Interestingly enough that’s the second song of his I found influencing me, despite not listening for at least 6 months. 😀
Thanks so much for your kind words about my song. Cheers Greg
Thanks for the comments Jyllian! You got it, both songs were written for the truck driving community.
Thanks for the comment on the 'Shelter' lyrics - tammy and I actually have finished a song called 'A Storm Is Calling' - her lyrics and singing, my music - you can find it n her Soundcloud page.
Thanks for your sweet comments on Soul Seed. I appreciate it!
Thanks for listening and commenting on my Pachelbel challenge song!
THank you for listening to Louise and Her Pink Rabbit Ears!! 😀
Thank you for listening to I Remember You. I really appreciate the feedback! 😀
Thanks for the positive comment on "I Wear the Trousers,,,"
Thanks @jyllian for the constructive feedback on my song. FAWM is loaded with many positive comments, but some honest reactions are so useful to help improve or get ideas on how to iterate with a song, and I think you're dead on about the specifics. The song is intended to kind of fly by without a lot of time to notice, but I think that can still happen with a few details to help draw in/endear the listeners to the relationship. Thanks so much!
Thanks for checking out "Lacey Down In the Dirt" and taking the time to comment!
Thanks for listening and commenting on my songs "You Are Fragile" and "Tempting Time", I really appreciate it!!
I remember your videos from the last FAWM i did (two years ago) and it's great to see you again! Happy FAWMing!
Your comment on Testament is particularly meaningful -- thanks! (I'm not sure why but I really like that one.) And as for "crappy throw-away songs" -- stay tuned; I think I have one of those coming tonight!
Thanks for the comment on 'Old Green Shirt' - hesitation, the story of my life! LOL
Hey! Happy FAWMing to you! Looking forward to listening to your new stuff.
Hey Jyl!! Looking forward to your creations!! I haven't seen you in too long!!
