Influences: beeps, boops and double guitars
My latest song (in Finnish): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsExG...
Okay, so first of all I need to apologize for last year's dreadful performance. I got a ton of comments but I couldn't respond to most of them due to the fact that 1) I was completely swamped with work (including some business trips) and 2) I was severely lacking in sleep whilst our beautiful (then six-month old) daughter was sleeping a bit less than we expected.
So I was completely beat. I barely had time and energy to whip up 14 songs, a lot of which were just "quick ideas" or instrumentals.
What's different now, then? Well, for starters: I'm now having the parental leave I didn't have time to use last year! Our daughter is also sleeping longer nights and I'm not doing any work until March.
I've got myself a new guitar, some new flatwounds for my bass, a ton of different synths and a newlyfound energy for songwriting. (Not kidding, I've written three songs this week in January already.)
So maybe the theme for this year is to make amends for the train wreck that was FAWM 2018. Listen more and have commenting marathons.
I'll also probably incorporate some of my daughter's ideas into songs because she is really into tapping away on my midi keyboard. Run some synths through an arpeggiator or maybe use Output's Arcade.
I don't know.
But I'm feeling good about this thing.
Have a happy FAWM, let's make great music together!

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment on Golden Hour. I've never visited Helsinki, but my daughter has and loved it. I realize that Spring and Summer are slow to venture up North. That's why we need our music to shed a ray of light and warmth. Best wishes to you and your family.
I love your songs and performances. I remember those nights trying to compose and record when my kids were still tiny and sleeping in the same room. Then I gave up my music room to my son, and that put a hold on recording and songwriting for a while. They're grown now, both are artists and great singers, but they still won't let me record them, just like when they were little.
Hi Tuomas, thank you for your kind comment on "Greta". Enjoy the rest of FAWM!
Thank you for the really kind comment on "Tidal Wave" - and for recommending it in the forums! Wow, so sweet of you! <3 Thank you so very much.
Thanks for your comment on "Greenwood Gloom".
The song is actually an OST for an RPG game i'm composing for, so you kinda hit the mark on "RPG" xD
