    thanks so much πŸ˜€

I didn't notice. TBH, I almost always flub something every performance, but most of the time no one seems to notice.

hi, Jeff, thanks for stopping by. That guitar was handmade in Japan sometime in the early 90s (I think, could be slightly earlier) by an old craftsman. My dad gave it to me last year just before FAWM. He got it off craigslist from the original owner, who picked it up while deployed in Japan. They had two of them and my dad regrets not buying the other one, but it's not like he needs another guitar around the house (and I certainly don't either).

Thanks for your kind comments on "Birds of Galway Bay," Jeff! I was super impressed with "Pardon My Love" too -- both the song itself (which strikes me as the kind of finely crafted song Nashville *wishes* it could still deliver) and by your delivery. I'm still getting a handle on how to navigate within my own vocal range, and I was struck by how well your voice fit that melody, and vice versa. THanks again!

I didn't watch the second song no, ran out of time and had to cook dinner. I'm sure it was ok?

  • @sw1n3flu  8 weeks

Loved your song earlier today. Thanks for joining the fawm song circle week 3!!

  • @mckillop  Mar 6

hey, Jeff, thanks for taking a listen on a couple of mine.
Much appreciated. Yeah, "Call Me.." may be my favorite for my FAWM songs this year. Thank you!

  • @tamsnumber4  Mar 5

Thanks for listening to my songs "Start Walking in Your Dreams" and "Amelia" and my collab song "Tears at Midnight", I appreciate it!!

  • @jonmeta  Mar 5

Jeff, I'm enjoying listening through your work. You're a FAWMling who deserves more listens! Doubly so, since you're a Pearlfishers fan too.

  • @mikeb Mar 5

Thanks for the comment on my 'pizza song'!

  • @sheilerk  Mar 4

Well, you’re double-dog welcome, and thank you right back!

  • @audrey  Mar 4

Thanks for listening and the kind comments on two of my songs. And thanks for the link to that poem by Gjertrud Schnackenberg on writing classical music. It's very funny. It really isn't worth getting too tangled up in all the terminology. Best to just go with your ear, I think. At least, it's more freeing. That's why my "Choir's Back" ended up as a hybrid of a canon and a fugue. πŸ˜€

  • @tukayandryan  Mar 2

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. Looking forward to doing some listening this week πŸ˜€

  • @geoff61 Feb 24

Have you enjoyed FAWM Jeff? I haven't dived in as much as I wanted to personally, but I have enjoyed it.

  • @cleanshoes  Feb 20

Thank you for your comments on John and Spiral! Being compared to Gillian Welch is an honor.

  • @specious Feb 19

Hey now, don't say that. I used to work in the industry, so I have the unfair advantage of having gear and software. I'd give it up to be able to write like you do. It's not about mix quality, it's about soul, which your work has in spades.

  • @specious Feb 18

Thank you. Sorry to be a bother.

  • @specious Feb 18

Hi there. Would you mind editing your comment on Coastline? I know you meant it as a compliment, but it comes off as mean to Mike. Thanks man.

  • @mikeb Feb 16

Thanks for the comment on my collab song with Tammy.

  • @oswlek Feb 15

"Radiohead in one of their less inaccessible moods"! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Hey, Jeff. Thanks for the comments on More Than Grateful. It's funny that you picked up on the dogwood buds, because that's the image I've had in my brain for weeks that I didn't know what to do with.

  • @lyricslinger  Feb 1

  • @timfatchen  Jan 23

Welcome to FAWM! A help here for you early on: if you reply to someone's comment on your soundboard, they may not see your reply unless they revisit your actual page (this page we're on) and read through your soundboard. Same applies to song comments.

So if you want to reply to a comment, you need to to do it on the commenter's soundboard. Suggestion in this case, you put this "Thanks very kindly" up in your Artist Bio.

  • @fuzzy  Jan 19

    Welcome to FAWM!!!

  • @jeff9  Jan 19

Thanks very kindly, folks. I’m looking forward (slightly nervously) to sharing with you all whatever rapid fire creative shots in the dark this process may extract from everyone.
