Thank you Mike for both comments. Your opinion is always very inspiring to me.

  • @zecoop  Mar 19

Fantastic! Can't wait to hear what you come up with for those - it was a blast hearing all those drum track songs this year. πŸ˜€

  • @tamsnumber4  Mar 13

Thanks for commenting on my collab song "Reach For The Stars", I appreciate the listen!

  • @sherrycanary  Mar 9

thank you for you kind comments on Pluck My Strings

  • @kristi  Mar 5

Hi! Sure....I'd be happy to have you add music to I Am Fighting! Thanks!

  • @ferry0123 Mar 3

Thank you kindly for your nice comment on 'Mirror on my horizon', Michael. Hope you've had a great FAWM!

  • @audrey  Mar 1

Michael, using Audacity, I've been trying to line something up I created on Sibelius with your track, but I'm not having much luck. Until I learn how to properly operate a DAW, I don't think I can collaborate beyond contributing a vocal track and/or some lyrics, but both those things, especially lyrics would take me a long time to do, so I hope you don't mind if I pass on this collaboration. I'm so sorry. Would you please remove my name as a collaborator. Let's try something new early next FAWM. I plan to go back to singing next year at FAWM anyway.

  • @audrey  Feb 28

Okay Michael. I'll work on The Window after I finish the piece I'm working on now. Thanks.

  • @audrey  Feb 27

Looks like I'm just not going to have enough time to do our collab justice this FAWM, so I hope you don't mind if we, instead, pick it up next year. Over the next year I'll work on lyrics for it, but save creating the vocal melody and recording it for FAWM 2020 and, of course, anything else you may want to add. You okay with me doing the singing? You could always add a vocal harmony if you want, or vice versa - you could sing lead and I'll add harmonies. Either way is cool with me. I'd like to be able to give your instrumental "The Window" the attention it deserves. πŸ˜€

  • @audrey  Feb 27

If you're okay with me adding to your song The Window, would you be kind enough, please, to give me your chord progression for it - at least for the opening phrase. The key is A minor, I think, right?

  • @audrey  Feb 26

I've been so busy trying to write music, I hadn't checked my FAWM Soundboard for quite a few days. I just now read your suggestion to collaborate. Yes, I'd definitely like to, but now we don't have much time, so I wonder what you think of me trying to add to your track The Window. I downloaded it, and I'd like to see if I can come up with something in Sibelius to add to it. I've only ever collaborated with lyricists before, but I'm excited to try this. If we don't have enough time this FAWM, maybe we could pick this up again next FAWM. I'm thinking I could even write some lyrics and create a vocal melody for it too, but I'm super slow at writing lyrics. I'd like to try though. What do you think?

  • @metalfoot  Feb 26

By all means! πŸ˜€ I'd love to hear what you can do with that lyric.

  • @marthie Feb 24

https://youtu.be/p97mg3TmMB4 I tried something with "Some people say"

  • @pcob1993  Feb 23

Leon Russell???? Man, have you made my century... thank you so much, your praise steers me straight to the heart of Saturday night ....
I just opened some Californian essential red and I'm lifting a glass to you my son.... may you shine forever....

  • @dutch1967 Feb 23

Thanks so much for stopping by Lullaby. If you like that one, you should check out Lullaby 2 as well; https://fawm.org/songs/96301/
I'll be back later to dig into your songs. So much to listen to on FAWM this year!

  • @audrey  Feb 22

Thanks so much for your kind comment on my piece Five Steps Down, which I changed to Stepping Down, after reviewing in the course I took, how that chord progression works. I had gotten it wrong in my earlier liner notes. Sorry.

You asked about the Cor Anglais. It is similar to the oboe but lower, which I learned in this interesting brief YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpSwk... Thanks again for your comment.

  • @writeandwrong  Feb 20

Hi, Mike. Thanks for the kind comment, and I hadn't even thought about the Van Morrison tune with the same title. Thanks! πŸ˜€

  • @barbara  Feb 20

Hi Mike! Thank you for your sweet response to "No Easy Way." I'm pleased it brought such a nice effect!
I'd be delighted to hear what you do with "Not Broken." Please take it and run! And when you have a demo, would you be okay with one of us creating a new song page for the collaboration, so it shows up as a new entry in the Songs thread? (I'm not concerned about song count on my end; just want it to have listens.) Thanks!

  • @mikeb Feb 19

Thanks for the listen and comment on my Pachelbel challenge song.

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 18

Thanks you so much, thats a great song you did of my lyrics.. Lovely played and absolutely gorgeous performed. Always an honor to collab with you.

  • @jamkar  Feb 18

  • @dasbinky  Feb 18

Thanks for reaching out! I think that one is enough outside of my wheelhouse that I'd do it a disservice. Love the sounds, but I'd be stepping all over it.

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 13

Great thank you the dancer is yours

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 13

    Awesome thanks

  • @acousticmaddie  Feb 13

Awesome. Do you want to do music and of so does any of the lyrics I wrote today fits or do you want to write lyrics?

Hey Mike! Happy FAWM. Not doing much this year but had some lyrics I was looking to pass to someone. A simple country song, I wouldn't be singing, just providing words. I thought of you, always enjoy your stuff. Either way is ok, you can look at the lyrics if you want and decide! πŸ˜€ let me know

  • @wacha  Feb 3

    Hi Michael

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

George Barnaby always had the need for control - control of his life and of his surroundings. That's why, after spending a month in jail at the age of 19 for a crime he didn't commit, George became a lawyer.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

Possessing a keen mind and a charismatic personality, he found that he excelled in his chosen field and soon rose to a position of power and wealth. George enjoyed the challenge of practicing law, and the years rolled past in a pleasant blur until he was ready to retire. He figured that he and his wife, Maria, would buy a boat and sail around the world.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

That was before the night when his home was invaded, his wife was murdered, and his house was burned to the ground by two men wearing strange amulets.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

Now, he has tracked these men to the city of Arkham. They will pay for making him feel helpless, and for taking away his dear, sweet Maria. After all, if there's one thing lawyers are known for, it's collecting debts that are owed to them.

  • @elainedimasi  Feb 1

    The name: George Barnaby

    The hook: "Knowledge is Power"
