Queer cryptid of dubious repute. Ostensible lyricist and recovering perfectionist.
My main instrument is clarinet, although I have some facility with ukelele and piano, as well, and am currently trying to learn guitar. Don’t expect a lot of instrumentals from me this year, though - my chording wrist is currently a bit angry with me.
I’m mainly pursuing the challenge of FAWM because I want to get over my fears about sharing my work and to get more practiced at beating back Perfectionist Paralysis.

Our song is up!!!! Hope you are happy with its sound!
Ohhhh! I would be honored. I hope your polycule appreciates the song as much as you do.
Glad you enjoyed it. 😀
Thanks for all your comments! and I beg to differ I think you nailed the drumming on the unfortunately emobdied one 😁 I think if it was all "perfect" quantized on the beat. It wouldn't work, at least not with the drums alone especially in a song in that context. There's a reason nobody knows any drummers that played perfectly on time every time. They all got replaced by machines 😁 The humanizing effect, even if its just hitting the buttons on a pad or keyboard goes a long way to making it more pleasing to my ear at least.
Thank you for your comment on “Rough Year”. Where there is life, there is hope. What I would give to have some more meaningful conversations with my father. We had very different perspectives on life, on sin, on a lot of things, but we both would find our way back to each other in expressing love and generosity. I hope that you can find ways to take the wood from harsh criticism and build bridges with it, recycling free fertilizer into growing beautiful flowers in your garden! When others give us material to work with, we are the ones who choose how to paint the landscape in our minds.
Music is up for “My Guitar’s Your Metamour”
Thank you for your very kind words on "Mildred Is Free". I was a little afraid the "But she's glad he's dead" might be a little over the top but I really liked it so I didn't try to replace it.
Thanks for your comments ... I'm glad you felt the lyrics worked.... 😀 makes me happy .. I'd like someone to take a stab at it.. but would love a group for kinda meant for that would you be open to that kind of collaboration?
Thank you for your very kind words on "Ones in the Instinct".
Thank you for listening to ALL my songs....And giving me such wonderful feedback. I am glad that my music strikes a positive chord for you.
Thank you so much for the comments! They've all put big smiles on my face. I'm glad you're enjoying these songs. 😁
Thanks for the comment on “Throwing Bombs”! I always enjoy collaborations with @jorh...Every single collaboration we have done has been a gut wrenching song about relationships....This one is one of my favorites, though I love them all. If you like to set other people’s lyrics to music, you should definitely check out Jordan’s work.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. 😀
Hey! I would never had known you didn't have training, you have a wonderful voice. By 'quick vibrato' I just mean, your vibrato is fast...like, if vibrato is a sin wave, some people's vibrato is very slow and quavery like a stretched out sin wave and yours is faster, like a wave that's more compressed. It's different from person to person, and I think it has something to do with the shape of the vocal cords? I also have a very quick vibrato, and I don't often hear other people with the same so I thought that was really cool 😀
Thank you fo your very kind feedback on "Can't Escape".
Thanks! I don't know if you have read 'Detransition, Baby' yet but it articulated a lot of the *feelings*
Yep, the contrast was intentional. I intended on doing the different registers depending on who was talking, and that let me get in character. Being poly myself meant I understood the feelings involved, even if I went comedy with it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yep, one take. I was surprised too! And thanks for noticing how appropriate it was. 😀
haha thanks! nobody wants to see me dance....well maybe if they're feeling down and need a good laugh 😁
Thank you o much for the kind words and feedback on "Can't Escape".
Ooh, I LOVE some of the influences on your list. Time to check out the rest!
Your comment on "No Cure" absolutely made my day. Thank you <3 And welcome to FAWM! I'm so looking forward to hearing whatever you share with us 😀
Heya, Happy FAWMing!
welcome to fawm!
Hello and welcome to FAWM! I hope you have a wonderful experience here. 😊
Recovering perfectionist, I hear ya. Best to you this Feb, seems we're almost ready to rock/filk/share/etc.!
Welcome to FAWM!! 😁
Hello and welcome. On sharing, my first FAWM I was (and still am TBH) overwhelmed at how kind and supportive the comments are here. We've all been there.
Welcome to FAWM! Sharing work is definitely scary, but like fuzzy said below, it's a very supportive, encouraging community here. Looking forward to hearing whatever you share! 😁
I'll tell ya, when I first started here I was afraid to share my work, as well.
I quickly found that this FAWM community is very supportive and encouraging.
No worries!
Hi there! Another filk person! 😁 Welcome, and have a spiffy FAWM.
