Artist Bio

Greetings!

This is my 4th year doing Fawm.

I had a few ideas ranging between a concept album and random song ideas. With the world being what it is I think I will do a combination of both.

Some of these pieces will be space themed soundscapes of various moons in the solar system. Others will be random ideas as inspiration comes.

Last year I made an album of soundscapes of the planets in the solar system. In a way this album will be different and the pieces may be shorter soundscapes and not as detailed in linking as last year. The names and mytholgical characters of the moons do not have the same notoriety or collective mythos.

No offense to Iapetus, but Jupiter and Mars carry more pressure to encapsulate correctly. In some instances just having a spacey synth piece may be what it is. : )

There are many great artists on this site and I anticipate following them again.

Thank you in advance for anyone who listens to or comments on a piece as I appreciate your time.

Have a great 2021 Fawm to all!

    The #haggis is loose
    It’s up n’ runnin’
    All over the hoose

  • @sci Mar 7

hey thanks for the comment on my tune!
it's a little funny: you compared it to a NES soundtrack, which is about 10 years off from what I was aiming for, but it makes me wonder what the song would sound like if arranged for the NES, lol

  • @farmyardorchestra Mar 6

Hello, Helios! I imagine my Sassy Cereal could be growing on one of all the moons you've got assembled here. Really impressing! And with all that Greek mythology attached to the orbs, it's even more obvious that you relish the mysterious. Thanks for the comment!

  • @iwilleatyou Mar 2

    Thanks for the listen!

  • @engebretsen  Feb 28

Thx a lot for the nice comments on my vocal. I also will give you some virtual flowers for really joining me at this years fawm. Thx a lot!

  • @ustaknow Feb 27

Thank you for that, re: the Christ'mas song. I kind of know, and why I didn't record it. I poked one person who may be interested, we'll see. It was one of those, annoying people πŸ˜€ songs - responses. It seems it's not okay to disparage any other "thing" in the world, unless... well you know, I am sure can finish that πŸ˜€ One can't "species appropriate", disparage a cat/dog today πŸ˜€ but, hey, misappropriate or mock that, - that's okay, - not. πŸ˜€

I'll likely toss it in with the quick musication of this ~150yo -ish pub-dom hymnal I'm chording out (demos to remember the non-piano music πŸ˜€ hahhh). It's the only stuff I'll do anymore in that context. Hey, I'll "rock" it, but no hillsongs, just the old stuff, as gud'nuff πŸ˜€

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 27

  • @aeye Feb 18

Oh nice thanks! Which U-He do you use? I use a lot of Zebra / Dark Zebra and also Massive X/Massive ( I find Massive X pretty useful for really ridiculous basses)

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 17

Thanks again for the listen and your comments on Mr. Jones Part Two.
    Much appreciated.

  • @nerdjealous  Feb 16

Thanks for your commenting!! Allthabest πŸ˜€

  • @electrocelte  Feb 16

Silverstein wrote A BOY NAMED SUE! Wow thanks for the comparison!!

  • @ustaknow Feb 16

Yes, more like those. The ones I heard were like an orchestra of Strings and Angles singing and noodling in flow. - Interesting stuff. I just took it as "space" recordings, ("of" the galaxy), didn't look into, what, or how. I grab binoculars or a small small scope now and then, - it's a weird pull/draw. I probably should read a book on sky-watching.

  • @electrocelte  Feb 16

Haha! Any resemblance in my rhyme to Mr, Silverstein’s works is strictly coincidental! I know there is one part where every line rhymes I think... that was fun ☺️

  • @electrocelte  Feb 16

He exorcised the Devil, despite him showing up in a kilt! WTF?

  • @ustaknow Feb 15

Oh, those are interesting, thank you. But, not gear or what they did, but, and realizing space is a vacuum, these were the supposed sounds of "space" itself. I'll see if I can hit on what it was when I get a chance to ad hoc search.

Just thinking out loud (great expression aye πŸ˜€ ) , - it could have been (well what's out there, light waves from every other place)..., some interpolation of that, - but a wild guess. I remember some "galaxy" πŸ˜€ pic was put up and these back to back "recordings" were played.

Sounds a bit rediculous as I write this πŸ˜€ hahhh. But a vacuum is a great environment for any "wave" to travel through, - atmosphere is resistance and radio waves of certain length, Hz, are "bounced" off the, several layers of upper atmosphere for global analog transmission (old days style, not w/Repeater tech of today); - meaning any wave to make it to "space" has no resistance to disapate it, and travel infinitely until attenuated.

    - But, I digress... πŸ˜€ hahhh

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 14

Thank you for comment - do you have an idea for "Nightingale"?I am open to all ideas πŸ˜‰

  • @electrocelte  Feb 12

Thanks I am glad you like Dunderhead! It's a modern legend, that we all have to live through, I'm afraid. πŸ˜‰

Yes, thank you. I love cowboy trail songs. I am glad he writes/drafts them and so easy to collaborate with! I especially like if there's slight twisted humor, all the better.

As soon as I can, I'll listen to your songs πŸ˜‰

  • @ustaknow Feb 7

Thanks for that, or hearing it that way.

It was actually fairly sonicaly "gaudy", then backed it all out. I didn't want to give anyone ptsd flashbacks, but, felt I had to leave the beginning extra ditty's in.

I'm backing away from my 5-min mourning-morning headline writes... hahhh.

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 6

Thanks for checking out How Much? Appreciate your encouragement.

    See You In The Shadows…

  • @frozenlonesome  Feb 5

Thanks for your kind thoughts on Living Stereo. I really appreciate the feedback. πŸ˜€

  • @ustaknow Feb 5

Hey, - wow, so four in one sitting, you must have been bored πŸ˜€ hahhh. Well, thank you.

These two tracks have a different flow, skew, - great to hear.

I don't know anything about electronic music (EDM?), and only like just a very few folks work who do it. I think the difference is, if possible to articulate here?, you use the tools to make the music, not go to them and let the "packs" (as I call them) make it. Your stuff never sounds plastic.

Also, I am kind of sensitve to the very plastic sound of EDM and "pre-writes" but yours sound like real instrument samples.

I came to know one person who did EDM, actually dzd and I both know/knew him (he is around, then not - from Czech)... anyway, he said he made all of his own samples, - not ad-ins or packages purchased. I belive it.

Hahhh, we did one collaboration, ad hoc, not sure if dzd was in on that too, -- hahhh, great guy, but just could not "stand" us πŸ˜€ (not in any bad way... he was pretty "unstable" when it came to music..., and realised it). But I think he loved our comments, jokes and feedback. And if I/we would jam a dub to his tracks, - he'd use it.

His world of "critique", EDM folks, eh, - not for me, - as you can hear πŸ˜€ hahhh, - I'll play with a buzzing string. (I think I fixed that, - some forward bow on a winter-guitar neck shrinkage).

    Anyway, - derUgo!

  • @dzdandcunfsd  Feb 5

Thanks! and you weren't far off! Descartes Demons was the original title until I realized I had written that song already..........not with that title, but with the lyrical content..... It was a look at self-harm to validate yourself. It may get back to that if I do end up doing a lyrical re-write hahah......just funny you mentioned that........ I changed it to Desecrate It's still very much a work in progress and probably something for after fawm 😁
