A singer-songwriter, vocalist, pianist, accordionist, worship director, wife, and mom from the frozen tundra of Madison, Wisconsin. My wheelhouse is soulful, contemplative, or quirky-fun folk/pop music.
My debut solo project Underneath Our Surface released in 2017. Lots of the songs were written in FAWMs over the years. Check it out!

Thanks mucho, Hanna, for the kind words on "Three Big Words".
All your own stuff is wonderful!
Thank you for the nice comments! A Ben Folds comparison is always a great compliment. Also congrats on reaching the finish line!
Thank you for your lovely comments on Time to Live Again. I really wanted to put something positive out into the world, and was glad I was able to sing it post surgery and pre the end of FAWM!
A belated thank you for your kind comment on "Choir's Back!"
Hey, @hbusse ! I'm so glad you heard The Twelve Bar Blues! Thanks for stopping by. Looks like you had a productive month! I have seen your name so many times as people pick their favorite FAWMers. Where should I start? Are there one or two or three you would like to have more ears on?
You are certainly welcome!
I just noticed on the recommendation thread that you had previously recommended @davidtaro ’s Emmanualle. That song is so good and I was thinking about recommending it myself before I saw you had already done so. That’s definitely one of my favorite this year. So relatable, cleverly written and beautifully produced. He’s so talented...
Thanks Hannah for all the encouragement and for talking me into doing this...hopefully I'll be more prolific next year... 😁 Gave me a much-needed kick in the pants... 😉
Thanks so much Hannah for listening and the positive comments on my song ‘ Trail of hope ‘ . You are a wonderful music / songwriter and have taken the time to listen thoughtfully to much of my work (and others) . I just wanted to say Thankyou kindly . Very much appreciated . All the best . Cheers Mark 😊👋
Thanks for your feedback on This Is Our Time!
Thank you for your kind words, and for bringing me to you site. It's a bit late to click on the watch button but there's a whole year to catch up to your songs, and your contacts. Just listened to your "Hear Me Now" and my foots still tappin!
Thx a lot for comments! Much appreciated!
Thanks a lot for listening to my track "Lullaby For A Cat". Very much appreciated!
Oh yes! I think I sent you an email this morning but i may have been dreaming!
Hannah, I see that there are many songwriters and Lyricists from Madison many of whom I have interacted in my very first fawm. I also see that you are a church musician/worship director at a church. I'm curious! Is there a Madison songwriting group based in your church (or in one of the Madison churches? ) If so, what church? I am considering such a venture at my church.
Hey, thanks for letting me know, glad you got some lyrical raps.
Hey, Thanks for the comment on 'Worryin' Worryin' ' xoxoxoo
Awwww, Hannah, thank you so much for the reciprocal commentage! And the recommend, which is a bit above and beyond really 😂! Those strings.... I actually just plugged them in direct on a midi roll. I'd usually try and 'play' the instruments via a keyboard, but that tends to take a wee bit longer than you have for a typical FAWM song...
Thanks for your comment on Stop, Drop and Roll. The drums would be great for sure. I kept wishing that Jerry Lee Lewis would drop in and give me some fantastic piano!!
Thanks so much Hannah for your beautiful comments and kind words . I think you are an amazing musician and songwriter so it is very gratifying to receive positive words from you . One of the great reasons why I love being on FAWM . Cheers 😊👋
Thank you so much for your comment on Living On the Moon!
Just want to say thanks for giving encouragement to my lyric writing. I have a long-time songwriting partner who's a much better lyricist than me, but FAWM is a chance to try some of my own.
Thanks for listening to "Lament on a Winter's Eve." It's been quite a year.
Thanks Hannah on the Transcendence and Immanence comment. I will be doing vocals eventually.
Hi Hannah, thank you for your kind comment on You Treat Me Like a King.
Thank you for your very kind words Hannah that means a lot to me.
Thankyou for your kind comments and insightful suggestion on my piano instrumental tune. I appreciate it. Hope it all goes well for you . Cheers
Thanks for listening. Robots have rights!
Thank you friend!
Thank you friend! ❤️🙏
Thank you for the listen and the kind words ❤
Thank you, Hannah. It's a mutual admiration we have ♥︎
Can’t wait to listen to your beautiful voice friend.
Great message followed with amazing arrangements!
Thanks for the heads up...this software is definitely quirky. 😀
Thank you so much for the recommendation, you sweetie! <3
He's the guy that did the Amelie soundtrack.
If you've not heard it, check out, 'Comptine d'un autre ete, l'apres-midi'.
You are quite welcome! Flutter is a beautiful song worthy of being heard and enjoyed!
Ha! No, definitely a Garageband marimba.
Thanks for making "Flutter" downloadable.
So happy you're back this year! Madisonians unite! Let the creativity begin...
Thanks for the warm welcome! Always nice to see local music makers!!
Hi! I’m gonna get my act in gear and FAWM!
Oh wow, i remember a song from way back... in 2014? .. about a cell phone, and I hoped you’d return someday. Happy FAWM 21, old enough to drink now.
Thanks for the mention over on Facebook. I'm eager for this year!
I see you're back. Very cool! Have a great fawm!
Welcome back Hannah, have a lovely FAWM!
I recognise myself..... in the mooooooon!
..still sing that to myself now and again 😀
Hello and welcome back!
HB returning?!? Neat. That's an unirionic neat, btw. Kids today with their irony... hope you and yours are well. Happy fawming, let's hear it!
Welcome back to the fun! 😁
I always look forward to hearing your sounds!
Oooh, accordion. My main gig (pre-COVID) is playing in the jazz ensemble at the historic Episcopal church here in Fredericksburg (VA, not TX). From time to time, we dig out one of a couple of klezmer-ish hymns, which make me long for accordion -- our alto sax player is really a clarinetist by day, so we get by.
We've made a couple of "distanced" recordings since, which has kept me sane (mostly).
