Artist Bio

Fatboy Slim may have given up his Atari ST but I haven't. I first saw this great music computer in a friend's home studio in the early 90s and it was love at first sight. I loved the Emagic Notator sequencer software, I loved the click sound the speaker made each time you typed a key, I loved the bee-shaped busy cursor, and I loved the little black and white monitor you had to smack on the side every now and then to make it turn back on because it had some kind of short in it. But at the time I got a Macintosh Classic with Passport Trax and made my music on that instead.

It wasn't until the mid 2000s that I got my own Atari ST on eBay for practically nothing, and a Roland Fantom XR. I didn't do as much with them as I had hoped. Turns out Notator and the Fantom have a ton of features and I didn't have the patience to learn them. Jobs and life got in the way, and now they've gone unused for years. So for FAWM 2020 it's time to bring them out again and finally try to learn how everything works.

This is my first year participating in FAWM, and my first time in awhile making music. Wish me luck! If you like what I'm doing, I'd be thrilled if you'd subscribe to my YouTube channel.
