I am a singer songwriter in Minneapolis. I haven't done a FAWM in few years, but I'm back for 2021. Looking for some mojo and looking forward to hearing your music!
First off, thanks so much for the kind words on "Kalila." In terms of process, you've pretty much got it right, but there's a little bit of variance. Sometimes I'll start off with a vague idea and start writing music and sort of let the songwriting process inspire me on where to take the story. On other ones though, I write out the full story and let it inform the songwriting. I like to mix it up. It keeps it fresh and interesting for me. I appreciate the question, and thanks again for taking the time both to listen to the song and read the story.
thanks for the kind words on my song! I appreciate it a lot 😀
You stay warm too!
Awesome to see another twin cities musician 😀 heading out for the night but I'm definitely coming back for more of your stuff tomorrow
Thank you for the listen and the feedback ❤
Thanks for checking out Cascadia Subduction -- appreciate your taking the time to comment!
Thanks so much man. 😊
Thx a lot for comments on "Indeed" Much appreciated!
Welcome back Ellsworth! Have a great FAWM!
Hey, yeah, Trip! I only saw them once, kind of on the way out and then much later at a reunion show, (2009?) but still think they were unique. I've caught the brothers Wilson a couple times and Matt and John Munson at least once near here in recent years. Fun. Looks like we have Jeff Buckley in common too, he shows up on a few fawmers' pages. 'Influences' is probably wishful thinking on my part, but it's all in there rattling around in my head I suppose. 😀
Welcome back, hope you have some fun writing this Feb, here it comes!
