3 songs a day - acoustic demos - it’s still doable - breakfast dinner and tea....

Thank you very much for your kind and touching comment on "Winterwelt" πŸ˜€

Hi Elena. Thank you for the listen and the comment!
The tiles I got are quite thin (1 inch) because I only needed them to dampen a fast reverb from a plain wall. They came as a box of 50 from Amazon but I've just looked on the site and it says "currently unavailable". If all you need is to kill unwanted reverb, these foam tiles are all pretty much the same.

Thank you for commenting on Many Miles. Band in the Box is playing all the instruments, so I can only take credit for the production, and song writing.

That mid lake album is a magical one!

  • @wolfkier Feb 14

LOL.. indeed, that's the charm of that whistle! πŸ˜€

FAWM is an amazing place. Nothing beats it's relentless peer to peer exchange of goodwill, great music, and as much feedback as you can handle. I guarantee you'll love it, learn and grow - and find yourself itching (and scratching the days off your callendar) to come back year after year. Nice to meet you! πŸ˜€

  • @piney  Feb 11

☺️ hope you can get to a place of catching up-ness. Be easy on yourself and do what feels best for you. πŸ˜€

Thanks for your kind words on my "I Get Meta"! I will try your suggestion about humming the tune first.

Thank you for the comment on Han's Falcon!

I've a Roland kit (apparently their latency is much better than the competition - which is pretty key with drums - for around €600 you get more than you could ever need unless you want to tour as a drummer! and you can plug them straight into a DAW and have an authentic drum track without spending a grand on microphones...

  • @rshakesp  Feb 7

Ha our comments crossed over - I’ve never had much joy with DAW drums either - so I bough an electric kit - I just play them live now - it all sounds so much more real...

Hey, thanks for that, yes, I write every day. Actually πŸ˜€ hahhh, a number of folks here like that. I'll bet some have 20 songs, a few already have 14+ πŸ˜€

With one, one day, in some other songwriting forum, we were in a live chat, and while engaged with that group dialog we wrote a song, recorded it and put it online, - hahhh 20 mins. Not saying it was any good, but, there it was.

Like the "cowboy dreams" song, Kingwood, put those up and I had an hour πŸ˜€ Also, TX is on my mind allot lately too.

But, I get that folks take days, weeks, mo's, etc. The thing is, during FAWM esp, you don't have that kind of time. So, just leave the recorder running, and delete the "krappolla" ? πŸ˜€ hahhh. Then learn how to "template" a bounce track you can take apart later. The full rock anthems can be done from the 1+1 later.

I tend to talk to much, so, hahhh, I leave it there. Happy FAWMing...

Thanks for your kind words Elena. A very interesting exercise writing music to someone else's lyrics. I quite enjoyed it.

    I am also Irish πŸ˜€

Thanks for giving my Surfing song a listen. Yes, the song is jammed full of surfer's slang. I was new to stand up surfing (body boarded since I was a kid) and fascinated by the English expressions I was hearing all around me that almost felt like I was hearing another language.
