Wow -- thanks so much for all the recent listening and commenting. Hope to catch up on some more of yours soon (realistically, March, since I'm still finishing #14). Congrats on making it to 14!
Oh! I love the idea of going backwards for Just a Week. That could be a cool structure. We're both almost there for FAMW-- good luck to both of us!
Thanks for your comment on "Angel in Jeans" I haven't played piano for more than 5 years before FAWM!!! Hope your enjoy it the same way like I do!
Thank you for having a listen and commenting on 'I Don't Want To Let You go'. I really appreciate it. I'm trying to listen to a few of the songs here but it's so overwhelming. I just randomly choose one or two of the titles as I'm not looking for anything in particular. Some great songs here.
Great meeting you too..
We have a lot of musical interests that's for sure.
Hope we can collaborate ...
The #slothcore, you should totally do.
Thanks for your comments. Hope you find the inspiration you are looking for.
then i guess i might have some look-alikes out there π idk how i'm batman (the batman of funk perhaps), but i appreciate the compliment π
Thanks for your comments on "Wrench in the works". Glad to make your ears happy. I hope that the final recording will still do π It will take some weeks or months. There will be plenty of layers!
Thank you so much for commenting on Boys Will Be Boys. Family is complicated for sure. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my song "Baby Rockabye"! A big congratulations to your friend too! Little ones are so precious.
Thank you so much for your comments on 'You'. You are welcome to go ahead and use the lyrics for a collab, with a vocalist. I don't understand melodies much, but if you could do something with please go ahead π Thanks again.
P.S. I'm editing the song tags!!!
Thanks for your kind words about my songs, and for checking out The Trees on Bandcamp.
Aww, thanks for your kind words! It's a challenge I have loved doing every year. I did a tarot challenge one year but I connect more with Oracle, got certified in it, and there are are so many unique decks out there for many more FAWM #oraclechallenge s moving forward π will definitely keep my eyes out for tunes for your #Griffined challenge. Best wishes on the cause and hopes it had great success!!
Thanks for listening!
Thanks for the feedback on "We Only Get So Much Time" -- on the drums: that's always been an isdue for me so I gave in and bought EZ Drummer2 a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. It has a feature where you pick a beat you like and it will build a whole song w verse, chorus etc. For you. Worth every penny. Thanks again!
You're welcome! In my honest opinion, FAWM is a great and appreciative community. I feel welcomed and overwhelmed by all these comments, music and artists. Answering all these comments and mails takes so much time. I wish my days were longer >.< I'm glad that I did not decide on writing 14 songs or participating in challenges, otherwise I would be either ignoring comments, write low quality songs in a haste or put myself under pressure. For me FAWM seems to be a good place to get to know other people or to share some ideas. I'll try to focus on songwriting, but it's really hard. As a producer you're used to think about the final product.
Hey Chris, thanks for your offer!
I enjoy the tone of your voice very much but I fear, that "Pyromancer" would be not the best choice for you. It's really high and requires belting. This technique can not be learned during two weeks, but I'd like to work with your chest-voice on another song. I maybe have a song which suits your voice type and range. Just write me a e-mail (not comment) if you're interested, since it's outside FAWM.
Thanks for your lovely comment about The Fuller's Lye! I appreciate it so much. (This is my first FAWM attempt and it has been such an inspiring and worthwhile effort because of people like you.)
Thanks so much for the encouraging comments on Lana!
Hey Chris, thanks for stopping by to read Maladjustment. It's an interesting exercise that I'd encourage. You might be surprised when staring at a list of words, how easily word pairings happen, and then meaning starts to take shape with surprisingly little effort. Almost like a form of automatic writing, except it's more like "word collage".
Thanks! I'm actually an ex-homeowner (never a landlord though) and yeah, while renting can get you a bigger place, it's bloody expensive...
Hey, thank you for the heads up about the Bandcamp link. I will now attempt to fix. π
Why hello there my friend! So looking forward to morphing with you! Looks like you're having a heck of a great FAWM so far!
Thanks for the kind words about my tunes. Looking forward to listening to yours!
Thanks for your nice comments on my song! Don't bother beeing ecxentric with your taste of music. I listen to nearly everything and it inspires me a lot.
Thanks for the listen and comment and share to the RPG thread! I hadn't seen that thread yet.
That could be fun too. I'm willing to give it a try.
Hi Dudachris. Thank you for your comment on silence. I'm happy to hear from both of you - I am always interested to hear what my lyrics inspire in others, so you are most welcome to have a go if you wish.
Joking aside, my ISP was rated 2d in Canada by PCMag so yeah, it's pretty fast internet here LOL
Wordsmith's often open to multi collabs on a lyric though. We might both get to do it!
Wow.. first off so nice to make a new FAWM friend and I'm looking forward to hearing your music. Thank you so much for your kind comments on the collab I did with Crisp. Killer lyrics eh?
Thx for comments I just try and sing from my boots! Im starting to move into cohen/cave mode in my writing now! So watch out!
Hi....thought I would let you know that I set @arthurrossiβs song, βMariaβ to music, if you are interested in listening to my arrangement.
Thank you so much for your kind comment on Living on the Moon!
Hey! No FAWMtalks as we're both pretty busy. π
oh hey thanks! π fawm is a holiday for me, so i'm more than happy to put my funkiest foot forward π
thank you @dudachris Pop is what I consider myself. Whether it is the Beatles or Iron Maiden, if it has hooks or choruses, I'm in.
Hey @dudachris ! Thanks so much!
Thank you for your comment on "Broken Pipeline". I do appreciate it very much:)
Thanks for the kind comments on my song "Ships of Sand" -- this Fawmling really appreciates your encouragement! π
Mr. Dude! Thanks for listening to my first tune, and you were the first comment. Appreciate yah!
I think I'M a budding activist too! π
I don't know if you've read Ibram X Kendi's "How To Be An Antiracist"...but it's GOOD STUFF. Very dense and thought provoking...but there's also a personal narrative...so, it keeps you involved.
Hi Chris! Thanks for listening to "The Devil's Rain". Appreciate it!
Thank you for the very kind words on "Can't Escape".
Thanks for the comment Chris. All the best to you.
Thanks for listening! Here's hoping I can tap into enough Firefly vibes to last the whole month.
Hey Chris! Great to see you back again! I hope your FAWM is productive and awesome! π
