1/27 I just lost my mother, last week, so I don't know how my participation will be this year. I'll see how it goes, and how I feel. I've got a lot of responsibilities at the moment which will take time, but I hope to write a song or two. Whatever happens, I'll be checking in and listening to your songs.
2/28 update: I wrote a lot more than I expected! There's still more than 24 hours to go, I'm going to try for one last blast or maybe even two. Thanks to you lovely creative people, I've been lifted up by the joy of creating and sharing.

Thank you for your kind comment on Don't Get Caught.
Yea, I was definitely going for/ stealing from the Beatles , but in the end I'm sure it will sound like Wilco Ripping off ELO taking from the Beatles lifting the Beach Boys.
Idiot Edit; I thought your comment was on a different song.
Thank you for the lovely comment and congrats on your win! I really just expected to hit 14 this year and was pleasantly surprised but what I was able to accomplish. And thank you for suggesting I take part in this a few tears ago, I probably never would have had it not been for you.
Thanks for that lovely comment on "No Deals" Deena. It gave me an idea for something, which I'm going to try with the song before I release it (and some of the others I think).
Thank you for that! It's amazing how peoples comments can influence the outcome of a song without the comment being actual advice!
I am a bit burned out right now, especially after a gig last night too (playing 80s hits), but I'll be coming back soon for a proper listen to more of your songs.
All the best, stay strong and congrats on another FAWM win. You are awesome!
Thank you for your comments on my song Old Darlene. I enjoyed hearing your music this FAWM!
Ah, so glad you enjoyed my electric kettle masquerading as a big truck driving on a wet road at night 😀
Hey thanks for all the feedback and compliments! Definitely looking forward to next year and everything in between! Looking forward to listening to more of your work as well. Will that be possible after February?
😁 thank you for your ears Deena!
Thank you. So sorry to hear about your mom. We will be catching up on listening the next few days.
Deena..what a brave soul you are!!
Look at your output!!
I expected maybe a song or two considering your huge loss,
But look at you go..
👍🏻 Might be on the last day but it will def go up before the deadline!
Boarding the bus this morning I read your notes on “You Know How...” and what you said, “I’m not in the zone but at least I’m trying”, became a lyrics -writing bus ride and now I have a song. It seems only fair to offer the lyrics to you for the music! But if you’ve got a backlog of last minute inspiration, or are otherwise engaged, I have an idea what to do with it, so it wouldn’t be wasted. It’s just, I’d love to hear what you can do with them!
Thanks for the comment, I've nearly won. I don't count one because it is a double of an instrumental that I posted that was collaborated on. I can see the finish line at least.
Hope you're okay with me just posting it up like that and choosing the title. Thanks for finding the time for collaborating again - it's a pleasure as always
Holy shit, sorry for your loss! Your music is beautiful as always!
Thank you for taking the time to listen to my song and the nice comment.
Thanks for your kind comments on my song 'Lament for the Shoppes'. You mentioned that you'd be interested to read the original poem I based it on. It's online at: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem... (and I have now added into the comments on my song so other folk can take a look). I'm enjoying your other music by the way!
Thank you for your kindness. I wish you peace and strength as well.
Just love your voice.
Reminds me of Innocence Missions Karen Peris 🌈
Deena!! My favorite person in the whole wide world.
I'm sorry for your loss. I'm touched you still are taking time to comment on people's work. I love you work so I'm secretly quite proud of your positive comment.
I hope you can find space to grieve, with all the responsibilities you have taken on.
Hey Deena, I just saw your soundboard message. Sorry to hear that news. If you do find the time for any songs I'll be over to check them out. I'll miss not collaborating but no worries, I'm sure we will next year.
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Hope you are holding up okay.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Deena. Sending love and prayers your way.
I look forward to hearing any music that you are able to make this month. (hugs)
Oh, Deena. I was so pleased to see you back, then came here and read your news. Sorry for your loss. Best wishes, and we all look forward to hearing you again when the time is right.
Sorry, for your loss.
I'm so sorry for this sad news and the loss you are going through. It will be good to see you around here for however much you feel you can do. You're one of my favourites.
Deena... Hey, now. Hope you are wonderful... I feel FAWM heating up. David
Listened to your music on your site and I really like it. Looking forward to hearing your music this year.
Deena, hoping to see you around as always
