Year 13 of FAWM for me, first from the west coast. I'm not feeling a huge drive to write but I love the community too much to stay away. Last October, I did Inktober for the very first time (where you draw based on a prompt every day), and I really enjoyed the sense of joy and exploration that came with trying something new for the first time. Hoping to bring some of that lightness into FAWM this year.

Inktober- I shall look out for that - as a kid I was a drawing fanatic - every inch of my bedroom walls were covered with my drawings - all pencil, charcoal, Indian inks and watercolours - animals mainly and some rural scenes.

FYI, @ekunyi has now added a demo to My Name is Not Juliet.

Hey Debs, if you're still interesting in Morph 5 I redid the lineup and it's your turn https://fawm.org/songs/91015/

thanks for sharing your story! that's super kind of you

Thank you for your comments on "Cheese and Rice!" And I'm sorry I made you almost turn your lunch into a projectile! Lol

To answer your question, I don't start with a track, I just dive into the acapella head first. On my YT channel and Bandcamp, I use tracks and mixes that my producer friend creates. For the Fawm, since I knew I had to post quickly, I decided to play with acapella versions. I'm sure some of them will get tracks eventually but others I'm going to keep as acapella cuz now I like them that way!

Thank you for the kind comment on my dress song! I think your suggestion would work really well. Ill try it (after my fingers stop hurting from not keeping my callouses for guitar πŸ˜‰).

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments on my song, "L’chaim." It certainly is a personal song, so I'm glad that came through.

    Happy FAWMing!

Hi Debs. It's good to know you've found your way back. I'm looking forward to hearing your voice.

Considering that D&E is a big part of the reason I wanted to try parodies in the first place, your lovely comment means a lot. Also, I was actually thinking of asking you about the use of the same/similar lines while writing but I was kinda just wanting to get it done so I ended up not. But I kept being curious even after posting it so thanks for the answer (psychic connection)!!

Thanks for the comment on By Any Means.

Bit of a surprise for you, all the instruments you heard, besides the drums (which are loops) came from my guitar.

    I got a new toy. πŸ˜ƒ

Love you debs! Not sure how much I'll be involved this year, I may take this one off. Feeling pretty good not making art right now.Fallow times to let the seeds regerminate perhaps.
