Influences: I have no idea anymore. Jangly melancholy pop, maybe. Earnest Americana? Or punk, or whatever. It's hard to tell. Indie something or other?
2020: I am in. Not sure what it'll look like. I've got ideas brewing but no idea how they'll emerge. Here's to another year of experimenting with new sounds, ideas, tools, and metaphors!
I've been doing this since 2009, and hit my 14 for 6 years running. I took 2015 off (minus one song), started 2016 with good intentions but was short circuited on Feb 2 by circumstance beyond my control, spent 2017 on a solo project (minus one song), and took 2018 off (minus one song). 2019 was back in the saddle with a collab-heavy FAWM. So 2020 is my 12th-ish outing. Or 9th in 12 years if you're being technical. Anyway, it's a lot.
No songs by this fawmer (yet).
Ha! You make me smile! This year gives my work and travel schedule as well as playing in 3 bands I will be lucky to post 14! I look forward to your creative genius!
Inconceivable! There’s actually a town in Germany with my last name — so basically, everyone in Germany could pronounce it. It was fucking weird. Good to see you, sir. Hope you’re well 😀. (Also just remembering how grateful I am for you helping me feel welcome at the first fawmstock I attended — that’s one of the neon light moments of my life.)
Oh, damn, you've gone and guessed my plans for Feb.
*tears up notebook*
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to surprise everyone by doing progressive black metal instead.
They'll never see that coming...
FYI I’m not planning on reprising the Badass Riff Contest myself but have a great FAWM nevertheless 😁
I don't play favorites, but if I did.... then I would.
I'm genuinely excited to hear your new thoughts in musical form. I just can't decide whether I'm more accurately on tenterhooks vs. being all a-twitter.
Beats incoming! If only I knew someone that could do anything with them... *sigh*
Woe is me 😉
have the best FAWM this year!
Well hello there, my good man! Good to have you on deck once again! Let's get it started!!
“All writing is just slow improv anyway”. Best comment pre-FAWM 2020 so far.
