I run a weekly songwriting class for the city I live in. In the past, some of my songwriting friends have participated in FAWM. I mentioned this to my weekly group and a few of them have signed up. So I decided to do it as well.

For the month of February my aim is to write the score for the musical I am working on based on the Medusa story.

Shout outs to @ductapeguy and @moonraccoon for being the trailblazers and @mrgee1952 @rangermike @nibor and @kaibigan19 for inspiring me to sign up this year.

Sorry that F#2 didn't end up making any more songs but he sure had fun with the 4 he made! Thank you for the lovely comments on his songs (John Paciorek, Too Much Water, The Feeling)

  • @dragondreams  Feb 12

Finished demo is up for Uncertainty Machine.

Thanx for your comment on my "Stabby Emperor" tune.
I actually have taught History in the past, and always tried to make it as interesting as possible. 😀

  • @theresaj  Feb 11

Thank you for your lovely comments! I do not have a musical theater background but, oddly enough, you’re the second person to ask me that this week. Maybe I missed my calling?

  • @jackketch Feb 11

Thanks very much for your nice comments about our songs. We both are obsessed with Twin Peaks so what you said made our day.

  • @owl  Feb 11

    Thanks for the kind comment!

  • @hummingbear  Feb 11

Thanks for commenting on "Little House Beside the Sea." Yup, snuggery is as useful a word as hygge.

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 10

I know! I thought, "'Snuggery'? Welp, I'm always down with a great made-up word." AND IT'S A REAL WORD. Occasionally I think the world might be okay after all.

  • @rangermike Feb 6

Hi again 😀 I re-recorded the first song again, using my video camera and other stuff. Sounds a bit better than the first attempt.

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 5

Thank-you! Last night at the bar, the choir fade-out felt serendipitous. I dunno about further world-building, though. I have focus issues.

  • @leleyukon  Feb 4

Thanks for the venue suggestion, cheers!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 4

I love making music with and for my kids. My family -- wife and kids alike-- is one of my biggest inspirations for music making, and when I can make a silly little song like the Oatmeal one, it makes everyone's day a little brighter.

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 3

Hahaha - that was one 35min+ take, whittled down to the passable bits. (My poor poor callousless fingies.)

  • @leleyukon  Feb 3

What a good venue to play in Barrie? I was thinking Flying Monkey might be ok?

  • @levi1979  Feb 2

Thanks for your kind words about my tune! I wasn’t sure if my link was working properly. Checking out your music now! Happy FAWM!

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 2

Here's to musical calamities of royal proportions 😉
