Thank you for your kind comment on my song 😀
Thanks for listening and ya I was playing a lot of stuff behind the nut and below the saddle so I think jarring was the right word lol just tinkering around
thanks! I don't write much the rest of the year - just collect snippets, riffs and ideas - then in February go hard putting it all together. That's my trick 😀 Get in the zone from the start, ride the wave until I'm all out.
Thanks for the comment on my track Heart. Slowdive's Souvlaki has a very close place to my heart. I never thought my voice sounded like Neil's but I definitely take that as a compliment. I'm also a big fan virtually of every band that you have in your influences section of your bio. I'm going to check out your tracks now, since judging by your influences, they should be right up my alley!
A shitload of thanks! Vocal is a really mixed bag for me. Being insecure of my vocals I first mixed them usually too low. Now I started to mix them up front and the main problem might not be the volume, I just might need to learn to carve some space for them with the eq, maybe?
Thanks for the comment. Yes I love Japanese punk/noise ect. Love a lot another punk/noise too.
Ten by Ten challenge is ten songs that are ten seconds long. I have catch up your songs soon.
Thanks! I worked a lot on getting the template right before recording... as for the guitar, beats me. I only started using a real amp a few months ago so I'm still learning about how to record it. I use a Shure Beta 58A, miced up real close just off-centre, played at a moderately low volume, if that helps!
This is a reply to your comment on my most recent song:
Thanks for your kind words! Means a lot!
Thanks for the comment on my first song! Yeah I'm not married to the harmonies. I actually had another set that I cut of down one octave that felt unneeded. There's sure to be a lot going on during the full band version so who knows what I'll keep but I really appreciate the feedback!
CIRCLE CIRCLE CIRCLE!
that is to say, I hope you're around this year because your stuff rules!
Hey, hope you're in this year!
Just 1 week till FAWM!
With all the turmoil since last FAWM, & especially since November, it's hard to feel quite as amped up about it.
"Unnecessary creation" just feels a little less necessary than usual.
But...the artists (music & video creators, especially) are arguably the most influential modern-day philosophers, & every day/week/month/year we spend honing our craft is a day/week/month/year invested in contribution to culture, no matter how small our circle of influence.
Hope you have a great Feb./FAWM, no matter how you spend it.
